  1. In other words face the main dumont Dunes from the Little Dunes entrance and look towards Baker at the mountains and head there. It's as far as you can go to the south east and you will find the signs. Or, as you go from the big dunes stay at the base of the mountains heading towards 127 and the Little Dunes and you will have to stop at the signs. don't go into the Litttle Dunes just stay to the left!
  2. So the Mine trip was worth it Pete??? I've got more side trips!

  5. We go out there every time Steve, I've forgot the time too at times. But I have an excuse......Senior Moments! See you out there. rocket and I and others at the normal spot on the bluff!
  6. How long is the garage section? How long a rail will fit in it? Where is it located? What is the GVW of the trailer?
  7. I sincerely hope you can reunite with your pet.
  8. My old VW rail goes fast enough to hurt me if I weren't carefull. My old Toy Hauler is just big enough to haul my rail and sleep and eat in or haul the Rhino if I choose to. My truck is paid for.. Everything is paid for and bought prior to retirement. I am considering buying a new truck and a nicer 5th wheel. I might just finance it and pay with my small pension check I get each month and live solely on my Soc Sec. if I can find a dealer to do a dual deal. My retirement goes to the wife to pay for household stuff. I am also able to save some each month for a newer long travel rail. That could happen in the next 3 to 4 years. Patience and planning are the key. If I live long enough to get the rail I only hope I can still get into a rail!!
  9. Sorry to hear Terry. If you need any help getting the car torn down and ready for repairs and paint just let me know. I've got all the tools we may need. Hope Kens ribs heal soon. I'm off to find some arm restraints even thought all I do is get high centered on razor backs. On second thought I'm sure your insured and can just send it somewhere to be fixed. If not call me! I don't ride as a passenger, I'd scream like a little girl, right Rocket? I rolled at Sand Mountain back in the 70's and hurt the wife and to this day she won't ride with me. It can happen to anyone at anytime without warning. Historic ride Rap, good video!
  10. That's a fact. Anywhere on BLM land is open to camping. If you look close at the pictures I tried to let people see where people were. The're everywhere!!
  11. Our group already had the spot. Who's gonna mess with a bunch of retired cops anyway?
  12. An old guy pulled off the side of the road in a pull out and didn't see the edge.....DUH! I was in a wash in the Rhino and came on it this way! Too much RV stuff to see. Blocks and blocks of booths. I couldn't even walk them all in a week if I chose too. Several Huge flea markets too. We started the process with Mikes manager. We'll see what they have to offer. Still not sure how I want to do it. Every one should do it at least once. People camping alll over the BLM land and in too many RV parks to count. I'd do it again. Good new group of folks that know Rocket and Booster. Bob and Carolyn, Mostly retired cops! Utah and Arizona licences their off road stuff so they are all over the roads too. Lots to see off road too, and a bunch of trails to ride.
  13. Had a blast boondocking with a small group in a mass of old retired Rv'ers. Flea Markets massive booths and shows from A to B for Rv follks. found time to ride the Rhno around the area and in the mountains. Old man drove off a pull off just before I came up a wash next to Dome Rock Road west of Quartzsite.
  14. Let's see here........................$500 for some new tires......or.................$50-$100 for a good small effective air pump

  16. Nighttime Festivities: Let the nighttime shenanigans begin! Take down the tents and pop ups!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Terry, Let me know if your going for sure. Might be the perfect chance for a day trip to check out my new suspension seats and new front tires since I cancelled my trip to Glamis. Insted I am going to Quartzite to meet with the manager of Idaho Dunes RV to see if there is a chance I can work up there this season. Plus it sounds like some cool DDR folks will be there. Maybe Adam will show up so I can meet him again and spend more time bench racing!!! Not much time to meet at the meeting at Tecopa!
  18. Thanks Neal! 500# sounds like the light side. The pan would weigh that much. Still want to see it since it's close and I've been wanting one!
  19. Are you here in Nevada and do you know how much it weighs?
  20. This has been asked many times before on here. Each time the answer is the same. 2 6 volt batteries are always better that 1 or 2 12 volt batteries!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Try and predict the weather or condition of dunes weeks ahead..........good luck!
