I don't recall Bert. It's' a 2 seater and he is in the 40-50 year old range and if I remember correctly he has a light grey beard. He was there when you were jumping your car on the back way from the North Pole to the south pole and getting videoed by 80 grit. He's a lot thinner than you and I and probably about 5'9 or 5'10. that's all I remember ?????

A couple of times I have run into a guy that drives a a blue blow thru VW turbo rail. I don't know who he camps with or who his friends are but I need to talk to him about how he sets the timing on his rail. If anyone knows who I am talking about or if he does the DDR site and can tell him that I need to talk to him for a minute or two and give him my phone mumber if he dosn't frequent the DDR site. I know it sounds wierd but I thought someone might have one laying around the garage that might still be good for one trip. Can you say "Desperate". Going into town today to talk to John and see what is going on with mine! If renting one doesn't work out I'll be looking for a rich over sexed, deaf, dumb and blind broad that owns a liquor store to go with me!!!

This is serious chit Pete. I'm not about to miss the last Dumont trip of the season for me. Got the newlly rebuilt motor in the rail and it looks like a shaved ..... without the tranny hanging off the back!!! It's getting too close to not try everything I can to make sure the trip happens.

I and a bunch are going to Dumont for Easter weekend. If R.C. Trans, here in Vegas can't get my tranny back to me in time, I will need a tranny here in Vegas. He said it will be done but I won't know until Monday when! So for insurance not to miss the trip I need a tranny in reserve, just in case things go bad. Thanks and if I break it I'll fix it.... but that is doubtful. I dont run that much HP or drive that hard!!! The reason it is in the shop is to change the ring and pinion and check why the tranny pops out of 3rd and 4th. By the way, I don't need anything but the bare tranny. I will use my pressure plate, starter, clutch, axles, tubes etc!!! All it will need is the lever and throw out bearing.

I heard yesterday that Lake Mead National Park will shut down. What about their LEO people and how does it affect BLM like Dumont? How would they close that down? Lots of questions for us that are not informationally connected that well.

The first place I'd look is the freon level/pressure if the compressor is turning. It may have sprung a leak!

From Henderson I take the back way through Tecopa via 160. My friend that lives in NW Las Vegas goes through Pahrump from the north route off of 95 and another friend with a big Renegade motorhome and stacker trailer goes through Baker and he says it takes him about 30 minutes longer from Henderson. From my front door to dumont road turnoff is 2 hrs pulling a 26'Toy Hauler Enjoy your trip.
