Our pleasure, you guys made the Party for sure!!!! -
Yes your work is greatly appreciated at Dumont. For those that want to show their support of Law Enforcement out at Dumont Look up "Rocket" or me up your next trip. Larry blaine (BLM) gave us some of the black and white checkered flags that are to be flown if you support The Rangers or Sheriffs. Fly one on your flag pole and LE will know they have your support and appreciated what they do. Rocket drives the Super Clean and Fast Red Sand Rocket and I drive the turquoise Prowler Sand Sprite 4 VW rail. We camp up on the bluff even with the end of Vendor Row above the Fee Station. We fly the flags on our rigs. I also have the Red White and Blue Rhino. I have to assume most do not know what the checkered flags denote. We have about a dozen or so of the flags left!!!

"I still think they should have cautioned off that witches eye though Sunday." The sand is always changing and that particular witches eye has been there since last year. Ultimately if they had to mark off all of the hazardous places there wouldn't be any areas left to ride. You just have to be vigilant and watch for these things.! I am sorry that your guy got hurt. This "eye" has hurt several people. It's just going to happen. That's the nature of the Sand Dunes..They can be dangerous!!

The Newbees havent learned that the reason Dumont is there is because of the lack of a typical weather pattern. I stayed home once because of a rotten weather report for dumont and it turned out to be crappy in Vegas but really nice at the D. I have been out on worse weekends than this one. Rating from 1-10 I give this one an 8. Great late am weather, a little cool breeze. I'll never believe a weather forcast again!!

Haven't you people heard of sponge baths???????? Geez, No 20 minute hot showers so I'm not going to the Dunes???????? What the heck is society coming too!!

Be carefull Bert, They'll start calling you old and senile! Rookies I tell ya........ -
They have closed off some trails but the Sperry wash trail goes for a while and is kinda fun. Cant go to Tecopa anymore or the China ranch. If you go to the TTR railroad tressel drive due east close to the north side of the flats, just at the top of the hill coming into the flats you can go quite a few miles south towards Baker. Also if you want to contact me I can tell you about several old mines and cabins that are fun to visit. A GPS and maps are very helpfull!! If you go due east of the North Pole you can get on the tressel too! These are quad, jeep or Rhino type vehicles not rails for sure!!!

Check out Butches Terry, they are reasonable and have 110, 113. they pumped some in my cans for 8 bucks a gallon! In a 50 gallon drum its 8 bucks a gallon if that works!!!

I have a feeling that there is a lot more to this story than this!! Phil didn't build his business by screwing people. This is MHO!
-
Your not going to bother Phill at Doghouse. That's what he does for a living beside selling parts. He builds VW motors. Also give him a chance to explaing the blown up motor! Decent heads are not that expensive. YOu can afford them on your budget. BE 'sure you know what caused the head to "Pop". LEAN is bad. Again, check with Phil!!!!!

A lot of people already know this but I'm going to post this anyway. 1. Keep tires inflated to the max load limit pressure listed on tire. Check it every trip! 2.When trailer stored for longer than a few weeks, jack up the trailer to get the weight off the tires and let the air pressure down by 40 or 50 pounds. 3. Keep the tires covered so the sun can't get to them! 4. Replace tires every 4 years or as soon as they start showing weather cracks! It's extra work but it sure beats a flat on the trailer that ruins a trip!!!

I've got a new motor now to put into a project car. I would really like to find a manx or that style car that is affordable. All help to find something will be greatly appreciated!!
