Great to hear!

I don't have an opinion, only my preference. I hate to get "stuck" so I want the 4 wheel drive of a truck. I also don't like to have nothing to drive when I get somewhere. The truck is easy to disconnect from my Toy Hauler to make a trip for what ever reason. I like the freedom to be able to leave or take side trips if I need or want to. A fifth wheel would be my preference if I didn't need the back of the truck to haul my Rhino so the tag along trailer works the best for me and allows a smaller towed trailer and a 3/4 ton truck with no issues. Good luck on your decision.

Yes it ran well. He wants to turbo it now. The ign. issue was a real surprize to me. Thank Gawd I always take the Rhino too. It did approach the 90's one day but it was not intolerable. Still rode and had fun. At times I wish I had stuck with a regular ign. cause I always had an extra point set, rotor and cap.......Oh well! I didn't see it as crowded as Jodi did. It was a good crowd for an Easter weekend but certainly not as full as other holidays.

Went to Dumont early Tuesday of last week and stayed through today. Went with two friends from Calif. Rocket and Booster weren't able to come. Had some super rides on Wed. and Thursday before the dunes got torn up Friday and the weekend. Thanks to the wind on Sunday the dunes cleared up and it was good riding on Monday. I did have an issue with my ignition system on the rail so spent quite a bit of time riding around in the Rhino. The high point of the weekend was meeting Chris and Holley who post occationally on here. They were by themselves so we invited them to join our camp. Good people and fun to be around. Their rail with the new V6 runs well. They are neighbors from Henderson. Nice week trip for sure. Sorry I missed finding you Jodi and Adam. I did look!

Looking for Shop that works on Honda/Acura motors

You might check with Butch's. Behind Butches Speed Shop. Call dave and he'll hook you up with the shop in the back of the store. He works on off road race cars and I'm sure that some of the off road racers he services run hondas. You could also check with WIKS Performance Engine builders. They are located off Sunset and Valley View His shop has room for your rail and they are first class mechanics. Good Luck! -
Can you clarify what you mean when you say: "I pay for a yearly pass that says i should have free range to do what i want in the dunes". I'm curious, maybe you didn't mean how it sounds. Thanks

Get a bigger stick to poke the "Bear" Adam !

I'll be happy to use your facility for my fuel and propane. It's closer to me than my normal fill up spot and being locally owned is a real bonus. Congrats and GOOD LUCK. In fact I was on my way to the other place so will detour to your place!

Seems to me that the clip shows that the LEO commanders don't have any say on giving someone thier jobs back. Seems like some bleeding heart civilians like to over rule the agency heads. Not sure how this proves your point.

I was just contacted by the film crew that I worked with on Tueday and Wednesday of this past week. They lost the handle and adjustment lever for a professional piece of video equipment. it is not that big. About a foot long and black. It would have been lost between the small dune across from Comp Hill near the cut through and across from bathroom 10 via the corridor. To replace it will be in excess of a thousand dollars, even more maybe. I'm sure a reward will be offered by the rental equipment company if found. Contact me if you happened to see it and pick it up this last weekend. I don't know how many of the DDR folks went out but I did see several rigs pulling in on Friday morning as I was leaving. These people were super to work with and I'm hopeful that we can help them retreave their equipment. Thank You If BLM happens to see this post maybe Ron (maint) can do a drive through in the area to see if he can find it. Who know maybe someone will find it Clean Up Weekend..... Pat It will look like this without the round piece on the end of the handle:

This is suppose to be fun forum. I am not going to get into arrgument with you. DDR doesn't need that kind of conversation going on. I am retired and worked in the construction related industry for over 40 years. I just thought your statement was unneeded and didn't keep with the mood of DDR or respect for the job BPGuy does every day. It sounded like you were taking a statement and turning it into something that was intended to put BP Guy down. With that, I took offense. I respect Law Enforcement in any situation and think they are under paid for putting their life on the line every day they go to work. If you disagree with that, it is your right. It is also my right to disagree. So....loosen your shorts and accept peoples statements that may not agree with you. There seem to be more and more posts that just make no sense any more. It almost seems like some just like to start sh*t or argument. I don't think DDR was set up to do that! Your responce had nothing to do with what your post said.....????? I'm done, said my piece and thats it! Politics or relegion have no place on here IMHO.

The danger of the job has little to do with what it earns.???????????? Why do these conversations go off on tangents???

Is this statement an attemp to be funny? Unfounded at best!

Has anybody swapped their 15's to 16's on Toy hauler?
sandawg replied to 80grit's topic in Toyhauler/ RV Talk
Pete is soooooooo right. Most all trailer tires and crap and made in China now. Do what he says and go with an LT tire whenever possible. Any reputable, knowledgable tire dealer will tell you the same thing. Trailer tires are junk! I''ll also repeat something I have said before: While storring your rig, get the weight off your tires and let the air pressure down. It will help a ton!!! And.....make sure you have enough air in your tires when you haul. Read the side of the tire and put in what they say! Usually higher than what you might think it needs! -
Check your directions out Adam!

Senior moment, my bad!!!

Mike, can you tell us more about your experience in the 4 seat Maverick. A couple of us are waiting for them to get all the bugs out before they release it to the public. Saw it at the Sand Show and really liked how it looks, HP, features, suspension and the price point they predict. What did you mean by comparing it to the Joyner? Thanks, Pat

I'll let Terry fill the forum in on all the happenings at the meeting. Turbo Bruce, Rocket and Booster, (Bob & Carolyn), from O.C. and I were the only people that showed up that weren't Sub Group members, a tree hugger or BLM people. What I will say is that there is a new Field Manager in the Barstow Office now and she was wanting information to help her administer Dumont in the future. Several of the attendees were on the Sub Group but representing different recreational areas or had other interests. Oh Well? :surrender:
