Interesting concept!

Thanks guys. If enough guys showed up with 70's they would probably put together a class for them but Frank@calvmx.net would be the one to provide a definite answer on this.

After many, many years of not being allowed to race anywhere in Southern California, three wheeler racing returned last Saturday at Cahuilla CreekMX park in Anza, CA as part of the California Vintage Motocross series (CALVMX) for a trial run. The races were run on the GP track, 2 motos, 4 laps each. I lined my 250R up at the starting gate with 13 other three wheelers (6 classes) for the most fun and excitement I've experienced in years. Though I had never raced in an organized event before, I had always wanted to do this since the mid 80's. I took first in the modified-open novice class in both motos for a first overall in my class and got a cool coffee mug for my efforts. Because of the turnout, we have been invited back to Cahuilla Creek for the next round on Sunday, May 19. Anyone interested in more info, drop me a line. Moto 2 start Moto 2 first turn On my way to the win!

Done, but if you throw in a drawing to win a rail for those that vote I guarantee she'll win.
-
Leading axle = more rake and quicker, twitchier turning...some times too quick and twitchy. Trailing axle the opposite. Good luck, looks like a sweet project.

Wave brake rotors like this one...I can still get them for the rear of my 250R but the fronts are no longer available.
-
I'll be in touch when I get a new tailgate. Do you also do custom stuff in your shop such as wave rotors?
-
I hate thieves and their dimebag scum tweeker brethren. I walked out to go to work this morning and my truck's tailgate was gone. My fault though as I didn't have it locked or have a 50 cent hose clamp around the quick release hinge. I know it's not quite the same as the whole truck being taken or someone losing their rail and toys but it still pisses me off!!! There...do I feel better now? Hell no! Phucking thieves!!!!!

X3... Are there more dangerous jobs than law enforcement? Maybe, maybe not, but does it really matter? Put things is perspective and ask yourself if it's possible that you won't come home from work tomorrow because some scumbag wants to blow you away just because of your career choice. The answer is probably no. I cant think of any other job that this applies to other than military but in the long run, it's kind of the same thing as law enforcement. What amazes me is the same people that b*tch about LEO's at Dumont are the same one's that b*tch about LEO's everywhere else. Maybe they b*tch because they think laws don't apply to them (me, me me theory) or their lack of respect for law enforcement and people in general? Just a thought, and no, I'm not a LEO, although I do have close family members that are.

Man you old three wheeler guys just don't get it do you?
-
Ain't that the truth, I get 10 furlough days a year myself in local government.
-
Petition signed, thank you for what you do! Interesting analogy 1320 but irrelevant to say the least, (especially since southern Califonia gas prices are $4.25 +/- for 87), not to mention the last time I looked at a map, Nevada was not a border state.

Flashback...pitchin' it sideways back in the day!
-
I agree that the PD overacted and it's an unfortunate situation, but like Rocket said, there was all kinds of sketchy information out there on the vehicle, and three cops had already been shot (1 killed) a few hours earlier in the morning. With the dark street, the same kind of truck with no lights rolling in slowly, I'm pretty sure it would it would have been hard to tell if it was light gray or light blue. And, if you look at the pictures of the shot up truck versus the burned out truck in Big Bear, the CA plates are pretty close as well (both 8DXXXXX).

Law Enforcement Contact at Dumont
Mr. Sandman replied to ynot's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
I've never had any negative contact with the LEO's at Dumont so I have no complaints with them and feel they do a pretty damn good job out there. As with duners, one azzhat tearing up the place or leaving trash all over gives us all a bad name with the tree huggers and everyone else that would like to see the dunes and all other legal riding areas closed. This same azzhat syndrome holds true in their profession as well. One bad one spoils the whole bunch or least leaves a bad taste. I'll also ad that a few years ago when Veterans weekend was still a free, no pass required weekend, I didn't learn about this until after I had purchased a pass. I spoke to Larry Blaine at the Barstow BLM office about a possible refund (which he couldn't do) but he told me to look him up over New Years for a free pass. I did and he comped the passes for me and my brother. Nope, no complaints with the BLM or any other LEO's. Treat them right and respectfully and it'll go a long way in how they'll treat you, and others for that matter. -
I'm just saying...virgin sand! http://news.yahoo.com/mars-dry-ice-smoke-carves-sand-dunes-143425987.html
-
I spoke with the guy selling firewood (and bought some) and ice over New Years and he said he paid $1000 for the permit plus $35 per day plus the required liability insurance. I also asked him if he ended up making any money and he said he would barely break even for that particular weekend.

Thanksgiving 2012 3 Wheeler Style (before the dunes were torn up)
Mr. Sandman replied to Mr. Sandman's topic in Dumont Videos
Thanks for the kind words guys. While I can only take credit for posting this as the GoPro belongs to my buddy Jason, I am one of the riders as is my brother and have been tearing up Dumont on this trike since it was brand new in 1984. Although it wears me out when the dunes are rough, on virgin sand it's still a blast. As for razors, I have no problem with the transitions (unless I'm on a quad).
