  1. :beer_bang: Were leaving Friday morning around 7:00, should be setting up around #8 or #9 around 9:30-10. Hope to see and meet all of you this time for sure.
  2. Locked and Loaded - We'll be there for sure :beer_bang:
  3. :afro: Cheese, your such a player............that was funny though.....See you out there this weekend for sure.
  4. We just upgraded our Trailer to a 5th widebody, WW 35', with water, fuel and toys (two quads) and the junk, it's about 13,360lbs The max GVWR for the F350 4x4 that I have is 23,000lbs and the truck by itself is 8400lbs with tanks full and 4 peeps. This gives me 14,600 left to pull, so subtract my trailer and I've got 1,240lbs of headroom. It pulls fine, but if given the oppertunity knowing that I bought the truck before the trailer, I'd gone with a F450. So instead of doing it backwards like I did :chug: you might look at your upgraded trailer max weights and then go after your truck. Seems to always turn out that you end up with a bigger trailer than originally planned. If your going for a 5th, you also need to consider PIN weight, and are you looking at a dully or single also. Just my on the topic....
  5. Went down to Quartzsite this weekend for the RV Show, and got my new HD Sat System installed, works great. Push one button and it takes about 4-5 minutes to link up and the pic quality and XM seem to be great so far. Does anyone have this unit, and if so, any issues with it? One issue I found was Warrior had placed a sticker in each of the TV cabinets that stated SAT "Winegard" ready." Not sure what Sat theyre talking about, but running your SAT on RG-9 wont happen very well, plus the prewired system is connected thru two VHF/UHF Amps. So all new RG-6 cabling had to be installed for all three TV cabinets back thru the roof mounted Dish. The only plus is that I can use all three options, Cable, UHF/VHF, or the SAT depending on the TV input choosen, and I wont have to wait for Dune Freak to setup my dish in the sand to lock it in.... ... :chug: Looking forward to Superbowl at Dumont :chug: I'll have some PIC's of the system installed on my rig when i get back in town from Quartzsite.
  6. At least for me that was the reason when I got my WW LED3505 2008, that I didnt want the 2009 model, because all of the Widebody models were coming this way and my fear was :chug: and driving my quad thru the sliding glass door.... but the units do allow for more open room to party in the space. You also have the option of backing your rig up to a great view, dropping the ramp, and now you've got a picture window view and tons of light. Just not sure that I wanted my gear rolling around and accidently hitting the glass. Warrior said that you could still special order it with a solid wall and door for 2009, but it would take 16 weeks.
  7. Warrior - Like they said, this was what they found on mine, I'd take it to your Ford mechanic and let him shoot it to see what's going on. Could be something minor like mine was or . But it's likely they'll be able to trace it down. So far, the peeps on this site have nailed two of my issues over the net that Ford confirmed. :freakin_nuts: Good Luck.....
  8. That's Excellent News Now they need to deal with little :chkn: $hit Ba$tard.
  9. I totally agree - that was beyond sick............
  10. Cheers Were headed down to Quartzsite tonight for the RV show, they've got Sat Dish installed in time for Superbowl......got get one for Superbowl Weekend at Dumont. See you all next time.....
  11. Just talked to wifes folks this morning in Pahrump with their MH - The pass between Vegas and there is snowed-in....only 4x4 with chains being allowed their saying for the moment. Not sure of when it will get cleared......
  12. OH CRAP - The pipe is out of control !!!

  15. "i garuntee you my dodge rides smoother than alot of those dmaxs ive ridden in. and fuel econemy talkin to dmax owners is the same as mine. dont know where you get that info." Bob - We've got 2 Chevy 3500's, 5 Dodge 3500's and 7 F250 / F350 combinations that are all 4x4's that pull our studio and production trailers into the western 11 states. In each case, the Chevy's always have the best fuel ratings unless you pulling twice the weight - now these are fleet trucks, but there 06/07's and in decent shape. It's a toss between the Ford's and the Dodges, depending on the load and road. Ford does better on the freeways, but dodge does better up the hills and long pulls for fuel....but the chevy does better than all of them no matter what for fuel.... As for ride, it's most likely the setup on your rig, so your rig may be better setup for sure than the other Chevy's you ridden in... But the Ford rides better than any of them.... Hey Mr. "GOOD WRENCH" - I read your profile...
  16. :chug: First choice would be Ford But if I had to pull a second it would be Chevy for sure. I like the (Dodge) Cummings motor's, drove one for many years over the road in another life, but the Duramax does have the best fuel economy, the Chevy rides better, and as mentioned in previous posts, the turning radius is better than Dodge and my F350. An issue I had with Dodge is overall ride, long distance in my friends new 2007 Ram 3500 4x4 was how hard it pounds you on the highway. I"m still a MOPAR freak with the old vintage cars, but even though the Chevy costs more, I'd go with the Chevy for long term..........If I could not have a Ford The other plus, maybe........ Is that if the Chevy has an issue, Pete (DuneFreak) is just a PM away :wedgie:
  17. I've got two buddies that have Duallies and when we hit PISMO, they also disconnect the torsion bars, otherwise they said it would tear up the trailer and hitch, plus it puts the weight back onto the axle of the truck. They also air-down to 25 on the TV and 35 on the trucks and theyre pulling 38 tags... but I dont think they air-down at Dumont unless we pull into the deep stuff.... but they always disconnect the bars at the entrance of Dumont road. Good Luck
  18. Well - I guess TheAlaskan and I will just have to stay in the valley and suffer with a bottle of while you and the South Pole Gang :wedgie: Hey we tried
  19. The issue turns out to have been a exhaust back pressure valve that was stuck. This is where the noise was coming from the back pressure, and the turbo also ran hotter than usual. They checked out the turbo, all seems to be fine, but I've got it documented in the records that if my turbo goes, we all know it was overheated due to the bad valve.....I've got another 35K on the warranty so if it's bad, I'm hoping that it would happen before another 35K. Thanks lvnalolife
  20. Pete - Are there any GPS # for the South Pole? :freakin_nuts:
  21. BP - Our hats are off to you guys totally - I agree with the previous comment, they need to equip you guys with the correct tools for stopping these bastards and keeping you guys from having to take chances that given the proper "Tools" and air support, fear would make these jerks think twice about coming across. If you guys start some kind of fund for the officer, let us know, Im sure most would help...... Mike
  22. Our thoughts and prayers to the family as well :praying: We need to stop the crossings - It's too bad the Fed's offer little support to these men and women.
  23. A Poop-Sickle :boyyy: :porn:
  24. JJ - does a boost leak make a high pitch squeal and increase thru acceleration? The guy at Ford said that they think that's what it might be. There Turbo guy is back on Monday, so there holding until he looks at it.
  25. We like Richardson's RV in Riverside, good people. I've seen them actually take a new RV back from a lady who's husband died of a heart attack about 5 days after they bought the RV and they did a full refund, no issues. I was totally impress with their people. I would have purchased out WW if they had carried the brand. Looks like my friends dropped the idea of the Cyclone, he's a Truck Driver also, and said that he's now seen 4 or 5 other web-sites where the landing gear seems to be an issue - especially on the new ones. He's looking really hard at the Raptor 38ft TH, so we'll see.
