Sorry I disagree, blaming the LEO's is just wrong period, they are not the ones camp racing,leaving trash, drinking, burning pallets, shooting fireworks. I think it foolish at best to say it is the leos fault, they are there, doing the job they are paid to do (and risking their own lives and possibly others). Giving tickets for people who break the rules is one of their jobs regardless of it being big or little. they also let people slide once in awhile. How many people did you see doing something against the rules this weekend and did you wish that you could give them a ticket? I saw some guy dragging 3 pallets with his truck thru the rows of people at the base of comp, I was pissed and hoped that he got a ticket. All the leos can do is enforce what rules that they can, and try to be as safe as they can be and do the best to protect the public. I wondeer if you spent a weekend riding with the leos you might look at things differently.

Very sad that this ACCIDENT happened. I have nothing but sympathy for all people involved their families and friends, the physical wounds caused by this event will probably heal long before the emotional one's that all parties involved must be feeling right now. Damn it is amazing to read so many extremely harsh statements made by people rushing to judge others. Judge not lest you be judged. Ok many things could have been done differently, that would have certainly changed the outcome or avoided it altogether, but we all take an assumed risk and maybe just maybe at least one person hopefully more than one can learn lessons and do the best to be as safe as possible out there. Myself I am thankful that I didn't get hurt or for that matter hurt anyone else. I prefer to count my blessings than to judge others that I know nothing about. It sure is easy to call someone names and to assume all the facts and sit on a big judgement throne. Especially on the internet! I hope all parties involved recover as quickly as possible and are able to return to enjoy what they love.

Wow lot's of words on this subject the only thing I would like to ad is that in the end an open container ticket...........big breath........is an important ticket for them to be writing. No matter what the situation if they see someone hop in any vehicle with an open container and they do not have to high speed pursuit and risk all the liability, personally I think it is the most um pragmatic ticket for one of those guys to write. Probably more expensive ticket than camp racing too. Low risk high pay I would say they are doing their job. I guess the lesson I would learn is I will never jump in any vehicle out there with an adult beverage in my hand. Not that I make a habit of doing that anyway.

Ten or eleven sheesh I get more work done by 9am than most people do all day!!!!!!!!!!!
