We will be doing the whole shabang! I missed out on turkey day last year, so im excited to be celebrating with my extended dune family. Deep fried turkey, ham, taters, sweet taters, stuffing, rolls, pies, veggies & dip, cheese n crackers, green bean caserole, cranberries! Whewwwwww. Sounds delicious! Cant wait! :angry2:

Looks like you guys had a great time Sean. Thanks for sharing the pics. How long did it take you to get there on the shuttle? Catalina was one of the stops on the cruise I went on in 2005. Was beatiful. Took the little boat over to the island. We rented a golf cart and drove all over the island and up to the top, was awesome. Hope to get back over there some day!!

So glad to hear Whits fathers house was spared. I have seen it all over the news about the fires. That pic with the burnt car looks strange. Doesnt look like anything around it is burnt? So for the most part Whits dads house is entact right? Anything we can do??

All the fights were good. Just very fast. I couldnt believe Couture went down. Once he was down, it was over. Lesnar was wailing on his head. Wow. :ah:

Im pretty sure we were quite thorough (sp) with explaining the hands and the costs. People were trying to come back after the fact and add to their hands. We felt after they left the table they needed to start over. Maybe that was our bad. I apologize for any confusion. We were definately trying to push the 5 for $50 to everyone

Wow, sorry to hear that. I used to always read those articles when I subscribe to the magazine. Hope he has a speedy recovery. You could tell how much he loves the sport by reading what he wrote.

I agree with the bigger payout. Also maybe better maps. More literature in the checkpoints. Im not sure what was out there cause I wasnt able to get around to the check points. Also have food & drinks could be good to. I also think maybe a prize for the worst hand might be nice also. We actually had ALOT of people ask if there was a prize for that. I think all and all for the 1st one it was very successful and didnt have to many bumps in the road. I do think it was very well organized!!! Also I think the raffle prizes were great, but was kinda sucky that the grand prize for the actual poker run wasnt even close to comparable to the raffle prize. Maybe we can find another way to work that next year if we have another raffle! Just my .02 cents. Cant wait for next year!

soon as I read Petes post about a Yukon being involved, my heart dropped. I thought of B-rad. I made my brother call him first thing this morning. Thank goodness wasnt him. Very sad some lost their lives.
