Yeah its pretty disrespectful to get up and pay tribute to someone and call them by the wrong name. I was furious. I can only imagine how that made Ashleigh and his family feel. All and all though, I thought it was a beautiful service. To hear Brandon and Guido talk, and even the Reverand, was great. Cody really was an amazing guy who obviously touched alot of lives. Thanks for posting this Amanda. I thought about it, but wasnt sure. I just heard yesterday and when Jackie told me it was like a punch in the stomach, wind knocked outta me. I can only imagine what Ashleigh is going thru. Its just so unbelievable this happened. I hadnt heard about it on the news. I certianly hope the military is going to step up and make the news make an apology and correct their BS info. If there is anything at all I can do, please let me know. Im waiting to here from John about the memorial. RIP Cody!! My heart and prayers are with Ashleigh, family and friends.

Being on base, need to have military ID right? So if you got a group to go, if they wanted to go off base, would you have to escort them back in? I think thats the way it works?

Wow, how far DDR has come right?? You guy do a great job keeping the site going. Hard to believe about 2 1/2 yrs ago, I was member #400, now its over 4000 I believe. Thats awesome. Ive met some people on this site who im pretty sure will always be friends, some considered family!! Thanks for having such a great site for people who love the sand!!

Unfortunately in this economy, its a sign of the times. I see more to follow in the future. I hope people dont get screwed out of their warranties. Shame to see WW go. Its definately a blow to our sport I think.

I think maybe he means a weekend where everyone kinda camps together or near each other like at the night drags. Always nice to have the DDR neighborhood and be within walking distance of everyone!

Yeah being the passenger in all that wasnt so fun. First and last time ill get in that crazy thing. lol Thank goodness for seat belts!!! That thing is crazy! I had a great time it was great to see everyone and meet some new DDR peeps!! Thanks to Jodi & Mike for putting me up for the night. I only had a couple drinks, but damn, I was :drunk2: . But lucky for me I had a DD I left my bike at camp. Slept a few hours then managed to get up and go for a decent little ride thru the dunes. Mannnnnnnnnnnnn it felt so good to ride again. The dunes were so different though. Actually got stuck once, thanks mike for pulling me out! Hopefully ill be able to make at least 1 good trip this coming season! Oh yeah and the wrestling match back at camp was good times. got a few battle wounds, all in good fun!
