ill be out there. planning on going out wednesday sometime thru sunday. not sure where im camping yet. hopefully somewhere out of the way. last year was just to congested up by bathroom 6.

Its always hard to hear stories like this about people getting hurt at the dunes. Unfortunately accidents will always happen. But people do need to slow down and pay a little more attn and we could avoid quite a few of them. I wish charlie a speedy recovery and pray for strength for him and his family to get thru this tough time. Currently unemployed, but I did donate some, as im sure every little bit will help in this time of need!

Id like to go if you have room Terry. Or if there are more Vegas peeps, we can take the Burb??

Had a great weekend. I was a DDC = Dumont Dune Camper!! I only 1/2 of a ride all weekend on my quad. lol I went on a ride with the girls saturday morning, and forgot to put gas in my bike, DUH!! . dunes were just to tore up anyways. Always funny to watch all the dumb a$$es that get stuck in the opening to comp. My burb is my new dune mobile. lol I think it made 3 or 4 trips out to comp. Good times! The dust was RIDICULOUS along with the smoke from the fires, felt like I had ashma (sp). I only lasted about 30 mins at comp saturday night, then couldnt breath. Glad to have you jodi, although barely saw ya. Paulys truck continues to be the dune rescue (always fun duning in that thing) got to ride with barefoot bob, and I was barefoot blondie at the time. thanks for the ride. lol being out by bathroom 3 was not as crowded, but sucked finding my way back to camp at night was a really mellow weekend (unusual for me) but had a really relaxing time. camp was awesome! always good to see my dune family! CANT WAIT FOR THANKSGIVING

what r ya trying to say?? his driving skills SUCK? does that mean we should be watching out for him in the dunes???

glad you made it home safely bob!!! DDR people are always willing to step up when its needed. Definately great people on this site!

my thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are being affected by this. Im wondering if there is anything we here in Vegas can do to help???? I got goosebumps looking at those pictures. I couldnt imagine having to pack up just what I could and leave my home and it probably not being there when I came back. Its very sad and scarey.

Yup im in just like last year. Ill bring a couple big trash bags with me over to comp saturday night as well!!! Never look forward to the clean up, but always willing to do it to keep our dunes open!!!

sounds like good times out there, except for the wind. WOW, 8 bags on an off weekend. Can only imagine how bad it will be out there after next weekend. I see a trash pickup happening sunday morning!

Ill be wearing my devil horns I wore last year. Along with my pitch fork! I was looking at costumes, just couldnt see spending a ton of money on something Ill wear only once or twice.

My landmark will be my flashy lights on top of the hauler, as well as my crooked "GOT SAND" sticker on the hauler. that one always works well for people. at least during the day!!

where and what time is the meeting Terry? Since im not currently working, I can probably go along if you have an extra seat??? and FYI, when I went in kickoff weekend, I specifically asked about a receipt because of the info on here, that we needed the receipt as well as the passes for it to count towards the annual pass, I was told the pass is my receipt. So hopefully that is in fact the case.

I dont believe the new fees have been implemented yet. Should only be $20 till they figure everything out.

I agree. I think all prisons should be like this. I dont understand how people can go out commit a crime and then get 3 meals a day as a punishment??? What about all our homeless and vets even that are living on the streets. Now some I agree prefer to be there and wont do anything to get themselves outta that situation. But, what about those who are just down on their luck, some with children who have no food. Its total I think there are alot of innocent people in jails. However, I agree, if there is absolutely no question they commited some heinous crime such as rape or murder, they need to die. I for one think its crazy that tax payers have to house these horrible people for years and years before their sentence is actually carried out. Maybe if the justice system stop worrying about these loosers rights, our jails wouldnt be so over croweded.
