Hello, Thanks everyone for the help. I am actually planning going Oct. 24-26. Any directions as to where I should camp specifically to accommodate both sand and hard packed. I know there was some mention of where to go, but are there more specific directions. Thanks, Rick

Hello, I am planning a trip to Dumont Dunes for the first time in late Oct. The problem I am faced with is more than half of my friends would like to ride in the sand but the others would not mind riding on hard pack terrain. Are there areas at Dumont that are easily accessible for both sand and hard pack? If so, can you guide me in the right direction. Where to park the toy hauler? Would like to be parked in the sand not to tear up the paddles but be able to get to hard packed with the motorcycles for the kids. I have some adults and young kids going with motorcycles and no paddles. I personal love riding in the sand. I am trying to convert everyone into sand riding eventually. It will make planning trips easier. Thanks, Rick
