Very nice....you made it to the top of Frenchman's mountain. I live in the red square which is actually at the base of Sunrise on the other side of Lake Mead Bl here: Very sketchy indeed. You used the county access road which is not used much any more. One of my friends in Facilities took that road once and he said it was not fun at all...lot's of switch backs and rocky like you described. The last time any maintenance was done it was all by helicopter. My turn to go up was coming up, but I was promoted into another dept doing something other than carpentry. :freakin_nuts: I got to watch them bring a shed down from there via helicopter. Apparently the winds destroyed it, and it was a total loss. Thanks for sharing!

I heard this from Jon a few days ago and just ran into this thread. I have lost too much of my family throughout the years. My brother at 15.....Dad....Mom.....never really had any grandparents....died too early I guess. Everyone has offered good advice. Stay positive and know that time will heal all.

Jon, his girl and another couple were there in their "prom wear".....his girl said something about some dude in the fight coming up with someone's dreadlock in their hand! :freakin_nuts:

Post the address to where they live please. I might have some friends that live in the area.

Something like this would be cool if it was only sharper!

Just as long as you realize that I don't think it's a big deal...I just don't understand it, that's all. :disco-dance:

I use this site for that kind of stuff..... Internet slang translator

I never said that one wouldn't be a great person with or without kids. I worded my response carefully in an attempt to make sure it wasn't an attack, because I truly don't understand. I think I failed at that. I would never say/write anything to hurt anyone when it comes to this subject....never. It is a matter of individual choice. Once you have a child in your life you would understand why I don't understand. I'm sure there are many great people past, present, and future that didn't have children. Someday.....I look forward to grandkids....and teaching them how to responsibly dune. There's something about passing on tradition to the next generation for me.

...and The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension One of my favorite quotes, BTW.

What's the nicest thing someone has done for you?

:no_no: I thought long and hard, and I can't think of a stranger doing me any favors personally. It's usually the other way around. However, some of the folks I met through DDR have helped me in many ways....even before they met me in person. :freakin_nuts: I did get a complete stranger at Dumont to charge my bro-in-laws nitrogen shocks...twice...and lent him a battery for the weekend. All because I asked. Nice real-life story...thanks for sharing. Wish there were more people out there like that. -
"Wait, what are we talking about? We decided!? My best interest?! How can you know, how can you say what my best interest is? What are you trying to say, I'm crazy? When I went to your schools, I went to your churches, I went to your institutional learning facilities?! So how can you say that I'm crazy." -Suicidal Tendencies

Me too....soon. I struggle with that everytime I read or hear about folks not wanting kids, but it's their choice even if I don't understand. I have to respect that..... Kids will change you forever and teach you some things you thought you'd never have to experience. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for the experiences I've had in my life....and having a child is a big part of that. I wouldn't change a thing.

I bet ya it's not. :freakin_nuts:
