Dumont Dunes TRT meeting

:no_no: Allow me to explain then...... Jennifer stated that one thing she wanted to bring back from the meeting and share was the "pack it in, pack it out" program....and don't dump it at Dumont or anywhere except home for that matter. Richard chimed in on her post and said that he felt cig butts also fit into that criteria. Don't just throw them to the ground, be responsible about smoking and find an ashtray or empty can to properly dispose of them. Take them with your trash...because after all they are trash. Since I took the time to answer your question why won't you answer mine? Again.....you don't consider cigarette butts to be trash that should be part of the "pack it in, pack it out" ? -

You don't consider cigarette butts to be trash that should be part of the "pack it in, pack it out" ? I didn't see it as an attack or off topic.... :no_no: -

car audio preferences....amps
SandBox_Kid replied to Richard Cheese's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
My son bought me a nice Alpine deck for X-mas...and just the other day he sold me his Zapco 600w amp. I also have a 12" sub and am waiting for my money tree so that I can finish purchasing the rest of the components. I just wanna be able to crank up my a$$rock and feel like I'm at the concert. Besides I love cranking up Pantera when I'm at the Lake Mead/Civic Center area. :no_no: -

Swing-axle set up for mid-engine....and running 80w-90 valvoline. It was recommended by my first tranny builder.

They are completely portable. They bring everything to your hauler.

The guy that came out did a great job. However, I was quoted $200 for the wash and wax and he tried to charge me $280.....there went his tip. I would have loved to tip the guy, but attempting to charge me for 10 extra feet didn't weigh well in my book....and his attempt at dimissing the overcharge was enough. Also, I'm sure it was an accident, but somehow my black water valve was pulled. Luckily all I had in the tank were the chemicals and a gallon of water. Besides that it was all good. All in all though it is a very nice detail completed in short time. :freakin_nuts:

vegas style gave you a good piece of advice not too long ago when you were doing the same thing you are attempting to do here now. Since you missed it let me re-quote those words of wisdom for you. The dunes looked perfect that weekend. I bet there was a lot of "sugar" to ride on!!!!

People riding after drinking
SandBox_Kid replied to 1bad4fiddy's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
He was only there for 3/4 of a day....and wasn't my guest. He stayed away from my side of the camp, so I had no problem with it. Besides, my son is grown and smarter than that. Sometimes those under the influence who look all effed up are great examples of what NOT TO DO with your life. I picked up a new saying from the movie American History X. "Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it." I forgot about that one!! I remember thinking his heart was going to beat outta his chest.... ....and that was your camp too! -
Don't try 112 unless it is an emergency...I did and it went straight to 911. I told the operator that I dialed 112 and she said it came right through to 911. Number 4 works also.

My bro-in-law has one and hasn't had any problems. I have seen one spindle bend at the bracket, but that's it. I think you're seeing them for sale because everyone is stepping up to LT rails.

:mc_smiley: Cop haters is a strong phrase and that's a very arrogant statement from the Col above. IMO I served my country during the Gulf War and never EXPECTED anyone to thank me, as that would be awful pretentious of me. I knew going into the job that I'd be representing my country and it would be a thankless job, but then again I'm a pretty reasonable guy and don't expect anything from anyone. Especially nowadays.
