  1. Harrassment as a form of crowd control. Nice abuse of power. I'll pass.
  2. What kind of infractions do they write?
  3. I had the same problem with our Olympus, which we've had for a couple of years, and changed the setting to sports on our last outing....it takes an immediate picture now.
  4. Yeah...you're right. You don't want to go to Amargosa. It sucks....big time.
  5. We just missed the opportunity for VIP all enclusive seats (the wife has worked for Smith's for 17 yrs).....so instead we got some Earnhardt Terrace seats and can't use them all. Maybe next year.

  9. If you go to the backside it's a looooooooong washboard road....and the front side isn't too bad as long as you make the right turn. I turned too early once and had a helluva time getting turned around.
  10. I like it because it's a contact form of racing....and it'll be interesting to see Toyota competing.
  11. Discount Foreign Auto/Valley Performance is on Meade Ave just West of the 15 before Valley View...and Nevada Off Road is down the street on Valley View north of Spring Mountain.
  12. I caught a glimpse of this on CNN and wanted to see what some of you thought about the following article: DETROIT - Executives of General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. have discussed a possible merger or alliance, the trade journal Automotive News reported Monday. Both companies declined comment. Automotive News quoted what it said were several people familiar with the talks as saying that discussions involving senior executives began in July and are not taking place now. The journal quoted one source as saying that GM Chief Financial Officer Fritz Henderson and his Ford counterpart, Don Leclair, discussed a GM-Ford alliance in August. The report comes as GM and Ford have been slashing their work forces and closing plants in efforts to reverse multibillion dollar losses. Their sales have been hurt by competition from more fuel-efficient models from Asian automakers. As the two biggest U.S. automakers, any deal would presumably face scrutiny by U.S. antitrust regulators. Such a merger would end one of the greatest American rivalries: Ford vs. Chevy. But such a move may be exactly what is needed to allow the U.S. auto-industry to compete with its rivals on the international level. Interesting..... What if the merger went through?
  13. It is...that's why I call it a "hydraulic sandwich"!! What if Chevy and Ford merged?
  14. The RV movie with Robin Williams was another good one when it came to dumping!!!!

  20. I can add..... -SUV's on Cali freeways rollover really easy. (Saw two rollovers on a 30 min drive on the 405...1 on the way there and 1 on the way back.) -The lines for everything were crazy long. Especially the beer. -People bring double wide strollers for their kids now......Must be easier to get through the crowds.
  21. Not sure if this should be in Wet spots or here...... Here are some pics from our Cruise to the Mexican Riviera. What a blast!!! Here's a pic of our ship "Pride" in Cabo.... ...and a pic of a foo helping out in a scavenger hunt. They needed a guy wearing a bra and lipstick. Nothing like having your picture posted on the internet!! Plenty of gorgeous sunsets!!! ...and my favorite deck on the ship! Our first stop was Puerto Vallarta where we took a tour of 2 tequila factories!!! Lot's of tequila tasting. ARRRRIIIIBBAAA!!! (Yes I brought lots of the good stuff home) Then after the tequila we had dinner at one place called Ah Caramba!! Here's the view from our table. The menu was a little scary at first...so we settled for the Lobster and Shrimp special for two. Only $850.......pesos!! Next stop was Mazatlan where we went to a ranch and enjoyed horseback riding.....sitting in the pool/bar and a killer Mexican lunch. Here an overview of the ranch. ...a shot of the pool/bar where we had lunch. ...and one of the riding. Our final stop was Cabo San Lucas where we were cut down from 8 hours on shore to 4 due to hurricane Lane. Cabo Wabo was a requirement for us gringos to see.... From the ship looking on shore at the fun activities. From the harbor.... I took a bunch of pics and posted a few others here.. Ship Puerto Vallarta Mazatlan Cabo
  22. King as in royalty. It's from a Mel Brooks movie called History of the World Part I. Everytime he was enjoying the benefits of what I think you're calling the "FAT" life....he would say "It's good to be the king." I say it once in a while when I'm enjoying the finer things in life too.
  23. I only took a few pics myself.....I was more interested in the paint schemes. Don't know why since I wouldn't have one on mine. Too nice to want to ride in the dunes. Click here. It was hard to choose a favorite, but I really liked the paint on this one.
  24. My brother-in-law picked us up at the ship around 10:30 and asked if I was up to going to the show. HELLO!!! You know it.....so we went through the show pretty quick....just looking for rails. Seen some killer paint schemes. There were quite a few Eddie's paint schemes there also. I saw the FoDD booth, but didn't recognize anyone and really didn't have much time to BS....had to catch my flight. Got lots of free reading material which is always a bonus!
