well the rail is rolling thanx to doghouse the part came in over night i put it in and took the car for a ride that lil girl is fast and light gonna be fuggin fun in the dunes i cant wait

its gonna stay orange for awhile but the ol lady want something different so we will see what i can talk her into i like the bright colors like green and orange of corse maybe i can go with a candy color and use a silver base so its bright.

i like the orange also but the wife wants me to paint it teal or some other form of blue so we will see what it comes out like next season.

thats what i hear i have never drove a rail in the sand but i have rode in a few both long travel and beam cars and i had a blast just holding on so i cant wait to drive

well we bought this beam car yesteday, and while loading it on the trailer the price droped cause the damm slave cylinder blew. i said oh well and bought it anyways. so i get it home and start looking it over real good and this car is in great shape for being a beam car built in 78. i found some minor issues with it and have fixed most of them. i had to relocate and weld the steering wheel mounts, so my legs would fit, moved the pedals closer, change some hoses,that were good just the wrong size.also had to remount the carb assembly it was realy loose and flopping back and forth. now i just need to but some brake pads,a slave cylinder, and some tie rod end boots. but i am haveing problems with the slave cylinder cause the clowns at the part stores can only find a part if they can enter a year make and model in the puter. and 78 vw sand rail isnt a choice lol. so later when the ol lady brings back the camera from showing off her new toy, ill post some pics of the car and the slave cyl. maybe someone on here will know where i can get one

with all the that ca does to us i wouldnt tell the chp chit besides its not like im gonna drop a blown v8 into the thing

well that sux. but my grip, is that i have about a 40 min drive to work. and in that time im lucky to hear one damm song. i just wish the people would shut up and play music. i got it cause of the no comercials, and thats cool but i dont want to hear someone talking about nothing if i wanted to hear that i would listen to stern. anyways just alil rant on my part, beside the fact that i got a letter from them saying they raising rates in march unless i sub to a longer contract or some chit like that. sound more like its gonna be ipod ready and not sat ready for me.

i believe that you still have to get an out of state pass legaly but most people just play the i didnt know roll and since its registerd you can probaly get away with it. good luck
