  1. Pete: Terry is over at Valley Hospital on Shadow. (between Alta and Charleston next to the 15 and 95) Give me a call and maybe we can run up together. 702-286-1683.. its on 24-7 I'll check tomorrow to see what visiting hours are so we dont show up late.
  2. Pete: If all goes well I'd like to stop by during lunch tomorrow and maybe again after work. Let me know what is good for you and maybe we can hook up tomorrow afternoon/evening. For anyone that cant make it... You can post here and I will print off the page to bring to him. May have to cheer his old @$$ up, and I do look forward to the next dune trip with him. Our ride yesterday after the wind stopped was just short of perfection. Virgin sand.... and no one around. I dont think it gets any better than that...
  3. All is well!! and he is currently in recovery. Surgery took a little longer than expected, but no complications. As of just a few minutes ago he is still under anesthesia, but in recovery. They will be waking him up in a little while. I plan to stop in @ the hospital tomorrow to visit with him, so I will post an update to his recovery, and condition as soon as I get home... Get well soon Terry! :shocked2:
  4. Contact TCS... I have a stock rear shock revalved. I was running a +6 and went down to a +4 (better for duning) You can have yours rebuilt for your weight, riding style and swingarm length
  5. Ok I'll give my 2 cents here....... First off dont do a 370 long rod.... To do so you will need to either bore your cyls out to .080 over and run blaster pistons or stay at the stock bore and run the 795 series Wiseco pistons. Then also add in the long rod crank. It will give you a broader power curve, but not worth the expense (my opinion) Next.... Why bore your cyls if they are within specs? You will not gain anymore power by going to .020 over bore. If they need a clean up just go .010 over and save the extra bores on the cyls for later. As for pipes... T5's are the best "all around" pipe for stock to mildly modded machines. CPI's are more of a drag pipe with less low end, and are designed for very agressive port timings. The T6's are great for a "stock" machine. Once you start to mod the bike the T6's will not perform as well as say the T5's or other pipes on the market. Reed spacers will actually hurt performance since they will lower your crank case pressure and raise its volume, (velocity) when placed between the reed cage and the intake track. If placed between the reed cage and the carb boot it wont do much on a stock motor with stock carbs. The top things you should do would be either clamp on filters or the flange in the airbox to fix the poor filter design from Yamaha. Coolhead with custom cut domes (not off the shelf generic cuts), Fresh bore/pistons. Pipes of your choice...... And make sure you rejet! Just remember that if you decide to have it ported later.... the pipes you have may not work as well as another pipe, so find a builder that you can trust and go from there. I've done this several times over the years and wish I could go back and not waste $ on crap that doesnt work.. Good luck
  6. Here is a LINK to my pics.... I didnt get as many as I would have liked but there is always next year!
  7. Awww Come on Terry... I told ya I wouldnt kill us! :freakin_nuts: You are welcome Vicki!! and terry.... This being my first SSSS trip..... Tim was right when he said "There is more plastic/silicone here, than in Vegas... flatbillers suck R.I.S Designs needs to bring more than one cd (and hopefully not stripper music)... K&K really needs to open something on the west coast.... Telling freaks and flatbillers that Dumont is too small and crowded is key!! Cali traffic can kiss my balloon knot!
  8. Well hell terry........ Maybe if you didnt drive the truck like a lil ole lady... I know it can handle a lot more than the way you drive it! :freakin_nuts: hahahahaha

  13. Ragdoll: You couldnt pay me enough to ride in NY unless it was WAY upstate. The registry will take your bike and will NOT release it (held in an impound lot) until you show enough proof that you own it WITH registration in your state. This happened to a friend of mine and it took almost a year to get back from the state. Whe he did get it back there wasnt much left. (frame, 1/2 a motor and misc parts) The registry would not do a thing about the parts stolen off of it while it was in impound either. I've since heard that not only does it need to be registered in NY but you have to show proof of insurance, AND it's still illegal to ride in the state? And people wonder why I wanted the hell out of New England! Offroadracer: I'll tell ya some stories about OCC the next time I'm at the shop.... they are a buncha worthless F*&^tards
  14. Ed; Ya gotta be well rounded in this business. I've been around the block a few times
  15. nahh Its all good! Just helpin another brutha out. Thanks!
  16. problem was the rectifier. One of the pins started to melt within the plug. Once removed you could see where a small piece of metal was sticking through the backing/plastic. I think it could have been grounding out against the frame. Either way he contacted the co he bought it from and they admitted to having problems with all of them. They will be sending him a new updated version!
  17. Who did the install on all your extras? I can tell you this... If you bring it to a dealer they are going to tell you warranty is either void or the repairs will NOT be covered under warranty since the electrical sys has been modded. What is your schedule like the next few days? From wed afternoon on is bad for me. Unless you will be around thursday morning? I should have time tomorrow afternoon as w/ Tuesday afternoon. Chasing electrical problems can be fun :shocked2:
  18. High Octain: I may have some time early this week to look at it. For some background I used to run a car stereo shop for a few years and have a lot of 12v expereience. Let me know if I can help. Besides that.... Has anything been done to the rhino since it was purchased? Any modifications? When did this start to happen? Was anything done just prior to this? Do you have a repair manual w/ a wiring diagram?
  19. Starts off a little slow but well worth the dl time!! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=72...44&q=jeep:nono:

  22. It's too late to call my shop in Vermont now, but I did a quick search to see what I could find online. I dont know the brand or specifics of the one my shop used but here is the 35mm versions http://www.usahuntingsupplies.com/shop/pro...&cat=181&page=1 http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2618827 digital: 2mp http://www.nextag.com/Bushnell-Trail-Sentr...C7DA2A3FD229BCA 3mp http://www.nextag.com/Bushnell-Trail-Scout...C7DA2A3FD229BCA little info from one site http://www.trailsenseengineering.com/newFAQ.htm If anyone is interested in more info on these let me know and I will do what I can to get some real world reliable answers
  23. Pete: As long as I know ahead of time I'll come give you a hand. There are a few tricks that I did on Terry's that will make the biggest difference. (I used to run a 12v car audio shop back east) It may take a little longer to do but will pay for itself in the long run. Always remember the alarm is only as good as how well they are installed. In the mean time, I thought about something I saw at one of my shops back east. Its a hunting item (no not a shotgun for the POS theifs, tho it would be nice) These guys picked up these motion cameras that were infrared (stills not motion) They used it to scope out hunting spots in heavy wooded areas. They would leave some feed out and mount this camera to a tree. As soon as it detected any motion it would start snapping off photos. It can be used w/ or w/o a flash and worked VERY VERY well. I believe it was 35mm film that you loaded in but Im sure by now they have digital. I am not sure the cost but they were fairly cheap. I saw first hand the photos taken by these cameras and I was very impressed. I am back east right now and could get ahold of some info on them if you would like. If I remember right you could set the timing on the camera (how many shots per second or minute. Sincity Blondie; Im sure we could work something out.
  24. Pete: You will know ahead of time before they ever get inside. It will only take one time, that they know you now have an alarm on it, to leave it alone. Let me know if I can help
