congrat on the new trailer. watch out on turns with the short bed truck that the trailer does not hit it! If the truck does't have air bags under it you might want to do it. make a check list for hooking up it makes a bad dent on the bed of the truck if it is not pind or the landing gear is not down when your huban pulls out from under it and it falls on the truck. good luck

I have an 05 Dodge had the trans, diff, and motor, fuel filter done and I suplied the oils and filters from napa cost 125.00 labor and disposal fees where 180. not cheep to do all. But I love my truck.

yes the altitude will afect a diesel. the higher you go the less air it will get and with about 22 to 1 compression it wants air. so it will smoke more and have less power.

long bed is the only way to go. short bed tailgate has to stay down to hual anything long bed better ride pull better less push with a 5th wheel

the shocks look like thay are single rate? If they are duel rate the limiting nut need to be set so that the top spring move only a few inches and the bottom spring come in after that. what motor is in it and how much does the car weigh. My car weighs 2300 lbs and I run a 450 on top and a 500 on the bottom the limiting nuts on the shocks only let the top spring move three inches before the bottom comes in. There is a very good artical on how to set up shops on Glamis dunes .com by revenge racing it help dial them in faster.

if you are looking to get started with a rail than you need to find the type frame that you like and than start shopping . long travel = big bucks a mid or standerd travel car is a very good way to grt in and see if you want to spend the money to step up. you should be able to get a car for lees than 10 grand to see if you realy like the expense of a car. I started with a standerd travel car with a corvair in it and than built a rear engine v8 and now it is a midengine v8 with a th350 and a 9in ford rear to handle the power. what ever up decide to get strart off slow and build up to the big jumps and geting crazy in the sand better to be safe than sorry. JMO
