i dont effin know! the first time i know what happened, it was the first trip out and i didnt check the jetting, it was waaay lean. this time though, im baffled, ran great for 3 trips, then boom. i dunno

I also have a Chevette story, only my story begins with: a Geo Metro 4 cylendar 5 speed manual car ... We had a buddy that was a towtruck driver for a local junkyard. and one day he brought this geo to my buddys house because it still ran and drove great, people just dropped it off at the yard for cash. so we clipped the front brake lines and we were ready to go. every time you hit the brakes the back end drifted out. made a great drifter car . the best part was gettin up to about 35 mph, then slamming it into reverse on the gravel road, that sprayed rocks everywhere! We rally raced that thing through the country for about two days. then we made a ramp out of an old fridge and a heavy duty barn door. we put our helmets on and buckled then went for it. that car got good air, but the lack of suspension kinda hurt . it ended up ripping both motor mounts off the block, so there were 2 baseball sized holes in the block now. the block was leaning against the radiator and the factory coil wire was too short now. but luckily we had an old 240z that had a looong coil wire we could borrow for a whie. since all the coolant went out of those two holes, we figured there wasnt long left, so we took it out rallying for one last hurrah and got another 2 miles outta the car, then the engine started squealing. so we reved it up to the limiter, dumped the clutch, and the tranny case exploded. then we put the outriggers from the boom truck on it and when we were done the car was about 6 inches tall. the end. wish i had pics.

So, will that make it all the way to the top of comp? thatd be cool!!! man, that thing is effin awsome!! too cool for school for sure!

how far is it to glamis?? i have no idea where glamis is located except somewhere in california.

hey 80grit and happyhour, sounds like sylmar is kinda ghetto, and santa clarita is the place to be. 15 miles isnt far at all either. can ya tell me any more about the area? whats it like compared to vegas ?(nightlife, what is there to do there? is there plenty to keep someone entertained?)?

right on. all i need rent wise is an apartment that i can get a garage with. somewhere to store my toys.

hey hey peeps! just wondering if anyone here was from the los angeles area (Sylmar, Ca to be exact)??? I have a job opprotunity that would require my presence in l.a. and surrounding areas. the business is located out of Sylmar, Ca. whats rent going for out there? gas prices and all that stuff. im trying to get an idea of the cost of living increases out there from vegas. ive never really liked california , but the money i could make here would be well worth it. the job would be working for a well known race vehicle wiring guy. hes already "in" with all the big time race teams, and has several parts that he's designed/built. hes got a lot he can teach me, and lots of money i could make. im not really looking forward to moving from vegas though. having to meet all new people and all that stuff that goes along with moving. btw, how far of a drive is it to dumont from la???

of course he put a cummins in it to go that fast! a powerjoke aint pushin that truck to an 11.4 quarter... cmon man!!! just kidding. but from what ive seen (not a big deisel guy here) most of the drag racing deisels are using cummins, not powerstrokes or duramaxes. dunno why, but thats just an observation ive made.

i only buy my stuf for my EXTREME motorCYCLE at carter, cause i know guys there..... gotcha. i now know where not to go....
