I'm puzzled! I was thinking that last weekend would be the last trip for sure. But if the weather is like last weekend I'd go in June. Not down for 120deg though I was also planning to tear down the car for an annual clutch and rebuild the trans. I need to replace some worn heims too. I could squeeze another trip out of it though. Quick Dumont update: We had an awesome time last weekend ( May 6-7 ) in Dumont. :shocked2: The weather wasn't bad at all. Just for a few hours in the afternoon it was toasty. Morning rides and evening buzz, I mean rides had perfect weather. Looks like it may be warming up for good now. Sand was perfect. More peeps than I expected, but not really many. We kinda took it easy in the dunes this trip. Just happy to make it through the season safely. Ever feel that way? Any other DDR peeps go? Whadja think? Sounds like most of you had a blast gettin' the river ready for me. C-ya there soon. R-

I was browsing CNN.com as usual, when I was drawn to the word DUNES in a headline. ************************************************************ Saturn's moon Titan has dunes Friday, May 5, 2006; Posted: 12:11 p.m. EDT (16:11 GMT) Pristine dunes on the surface of Titan. WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Saturn's moon Titan has huge regions covered with dunes, possibly made out of ice crystals, sand or some other unknown material, international space scientists reported. ************************************************************* I guess it's -180 deg, so I know there are no lizards there. We need to have Pete set up a DDR trip. R- Ya I'm bored. Titan_dunes.bmp

Hey Cat~ I was having trouble with the video. However I know how good your Warden runs. Remember me? Or my Honda car? I live down here in Rancho. I think if you build a V8 car you will soon build another Honda for yourself. Just my thoughts. You love your Honda, and I understand. Keep us posted, R-

Years ago, I mounted earpieces in my streetbike helmet hooked to a walkman and almost lost it a few times. I'm thinkin' it ain't a good idea for my in the car. If I were to hook it up I'd crank " Lose Yourself " by Eminem and launch some razors. :rainbow1: R-

Your right Trav. My bad I got caught jumping on the bandwagon. He's right peeps, so knock that sh*t off! :rainbow1: R- Pete's photo was pretty cool though.

One time I ate 6 gallons of Rainbow Sherbet and couldn't keep it down Great workmanship though Travis.

I just want to RACE!

You could have the fab shop that adds the cross bars into your car this summer, cut out the existing tubes and relocate new ones a bit more forward. Just make sure they bolt on the front beams on before they tack the verticals for proper spacing. R-

Gerold, I've never done what 'sanddunesaddict' did, but it does make sense. Hope it wouldn't soften the casting. This may be hokey, but I've seen what is called a quick steer tab that bolts to the box arm. It extends the rod ends about 2" for more throw. It would also help get the rods a bit away from the frame. Just a thought, I don't know if that's what I would do though. If you get a rack&pinnion set-up, Be sure it's going to solve this issue. It would have to be set back from the front tubes a way to clear. R-

Hey Gerold, Hmmm. I had no probs with my turning of my SS4. I'm sure its hitting on the upright tube. Right? I'm thinking maybe some adjustments: Possibly different length tie rods, which would move the box position. Turning the box on the tube for best angle. Evaluate spindle pitman arm for straightness. Has anyone EVER seen a straight VW arm? or some thing like that. Maybe you tried all your options. Can you send some pics of the front end? I can't say that a rack and pinnion would do the trick for you. R-

Carl at V-tec Performance in Oregon was selling it a month or so ago. Maybe he still is?????? Check it out if anyone is interested. R-

Good thing you are reading up on the VW alternator. that may be a prob for Laser. May be a few extra bucks for the HIDs is the ticket if they use so little juice. I've never driven with HIDs. But it makes sense to have driving lights. As far as Lasers, I don't know about the bulbs burning up, My bulbs never have. But a year and a half ago Laserstars wires (white wires) were burning up from the heat of the higher wattage bulbs. I called them and they sent me new recepticals (black wires). Haven't had any prob since. If you go with these you may want to be sure the wires are the good ones. They do stand behind their product anyway. R-

Hey Gerald, I can't remember your current lights or if you have 2 or 4. Are you sure it was the light causing you vision issues? Just sayin' I've got 4 laserstars on mine, not sure if they are 75w or 100w. All are spots, I know that. I had two big KC lights on my High Jumper. Definatly like the 4 laserstars better. I think you could run 4 75w on a good alternator no prod. I never run the headlights when the motor isn't running. I seem to have no prob seeing with mine. However some of these guys with the HIDs light up the whole valley for us guys anyway. I don't know much about HIDs but it sounds like Don and Pete have them and know where to get em. Check it out. Sweet YFZ Chuck. I like the shaved fenders. Very clean. I'd like a Quad again. I've always liked Yamaha. Because my Banshee and my Superjet. A buddy is selling an 04' trx450r Honda tricked to the max for cheap. Is that a good Quad? I've been out of the Quad loop for a while. R-
