Wow, Sorry to hear, but happy it wasn't any worse! Glad it was caught in time!!! Wake up call for sure...We are all guilty of taking the day to day for granted. Thanks for sharing man! I think I'm gonna go get checked out now too. I'm 35, but with all the stress of my recently former job, I had "an elephant sitting on my chest" for 2 days that I couldn't shake, about two weeks ago. We both Gotta be here for those kiddos of ours! Make the most of your second chance

andydew replied to DUNESHAUNT's topic in Dumont Happenings
Bummer! My family has not yet been, and it was starting to look like we would've made this one. I understand how home improvement projects can run a little long. Best of luck to ya, and We'll be looking forward to what next years brings! -

After 11 years, we finally tackled our kitchen. I started in June, doing everything myself after work, except the countertops, and just wrapped it up... Only took me 2 1/2 months We decided to raise the ceiling, which made the project a lot bigger ! At this point, my wife starts wondering if I know what I'm doing We upgraded to SS appliances, and opted for a no touch faucet. I had to recess the outlets in the backsplash for a cleaner look. I've got the LED accent lighting in, and we are finally done! It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it! We are hanging decor today, and moving the table out of the living room !!!

Thinking this might be a good Toyhauler for me....
andydew replied to Adam @ GTP Off Road's topic in Toyhauler/ RV Talk
I agree with Pete; when I was boat shopping, a wise salesman told me to buy my 2nd boat first...I also played musical RVs for a few years, and again with the sand rails. I've come to learn that life has a way of surprising you. Before you're done making payments on your stuff, it becomes obsolete. Life will throw you a curve ball, and you'll find yourself with a wife, a kid, and...maybe a set of twins while on birth control LOL. My advice would be to look down the road 4-8 years and imagine where you'll be, and base your decision on that. I wish I'd have known about your experience at Country coach about two years ago. Amidst my RV shuffling, I owned a nice Diesel pusher that needed some work, but I never completed it, and took a substantial loss on it, without ever taking it out once...oh well. Good luck with your search! -
Yiah! The last sand video I watched that opened with a Transplants song led me to buy my funco....

Fuel economy is going to suck, but The truck will pull just fine! Make sure you have a weight distributing hitch, and an anti sway shock, as the passing trucks will get you squirly( As is the case with most bumper pulls that size). Make sure you have an electric brake controller, and Check that it's working before every trip! You have the right truck, but you'll always need to be cautious . I don't have any experience with that trailer or layout , but It might be a tight fit getting all the toys in a 32... But you have options. Congrats if ou get it!

yep. ^ I've towed doubles. There are a few requirements, but if I can offer any experience/ advice, it is that most chippies have no idea what 65' looks like. The only ones that keep up on that stuff are commercial cops( usually the ones with the camper p/u's); and they usually have bigger fish to fry. That being said, I've heard of them setting up stings on the way to glamis, and popping guys with 3 axle fifth wheels withoiut the class A license...so to what degree you comply is your gamble... I'm running over length by about 4' overall, and over on the fifth wheel(first trailer), but that's just how I roll. So far so good

Duramax CAT fuel filter better filtration for your truck!
andydew replied to nwtdiesel's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
It could also possibly be the rubber O-ring On the filter Pop out of the groove... Maybe the primer I don't know... I believe the filter is before the pump on the suction side, So that would allow a tiny bit of air in without fuel blowing out, Due to the suction... Prime problems are a pain in the butt. I'm currently dealing with one on my Bigcat. -

When you installed and mentioned that it was hitting the block; Is there any chance you might've thread it on a little crooked and not gotten a proper seal? -

andydew replied to nwtdiesel's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
^10-4 on that. These cat filters are the best; but because they filter down to 1 or 2 microns, they can plug, but that's a good thing...don't want sludge going any further than the filter. I always carry extras, and a filter wrench. I've used them too! -
Nice! I like the foot peg wheelie shot , and the wheel hop. That was the perfect ending as well! Good job; Keep them coming

Another update today: "She is out of surgery and all is good they did a free flap from her thigh and she will be in the hospital with a splint and bed ridden for 5 days they were able to do a nerve graph and hope that she will regain some feeling in her foot she will require physical therapy after a couple weeks ...they feel they removed all of the cancer but cannot determine until pathology reports come back." Prayers sent!

You should've! We didn't eat half of the food that was made. We had bacon wrapped everything we were actually over in San Jacinto near OGPs hood. I was busy chucking kids in the pool most of the day, and stuffing my face every chance in between . We had a blast, but the diet is gonna have to start...tomorrow fireworks were awesome, but again, I forgot my big camera...oh well

BBQ and pool party for us. Bacon wrapped shrimp, corn on the cob, and steak! Does it get any more American than that? YIAH!
