Congrats! If he is anything like my boy, his first sounds will be banshee exhaust noises. Every time I fired it up he wanted to be on it. Now at age 4 (tomorrow) all he asks is when are we going to Dumont. Gotta love it!

I get chitty mpg! Of course it wouldn't be because of the ridiculous lift and 15.5" wide 38" tires and 4:56 gears! Actually its not too bad. Get about 12-13 city, 15-17 highway (depending on go-pedal position) and about what Pete gets towing(same trailer) Running the DP-Tuner 5 position chip. Usually in the 80 hp Economy tune. Supposed to be the best for fuel mileage.

Good to hear! Did you get an aftermarket trans cooler or go with the stock one for the 6.0. It is huge. I put it on mine and even towing my beast of a trailer, the most the tranny gets up to is 185 and that was the middle of the summer at about 100 degrees. And I only have and oil to air cooler. Mine doesn't loop through the radiator like the later models. The bigger cooler is always a good idea. Have fun and try not to break it again!!

Cole, what year is your truck? Same thing happened to mine once. Had the retards at the tranny shop rebuild it 3 times under warranty before they decided to come out of pocket and buy a reman from Ford. I have heard some bad things about some AAMCO shops and their rebuild of the 4R100. I hope this guy is good and knows his sh*t. If you are going to try and build power with a programmer or chip, then I recomend at least a shift kit put in it. The good one is called the Transgo Tugger kit. The best option would be to get a Factory Tech Valve body or a BTS valve body. It will shift 10x better and have less wear on the clutches. Either one is a couple hundred bucks. A Ford remain runs about $2300 so hopefully he is not charging you that much. If you are willing to get the best call BTS or John Woods. I know the BTS is about $4000 and he dares you to brake it.

You really need to try and get the trailer as level as possible. Go buy a longer shank for your weight distribution and invest in a sway control.

HAHAHA that was me and 9digit. We were wondering why you kept letting us pass. 1st stop was to double check the tie downs. 2nd was in Tecopa to see if Craig (9digit) wanted to dump his trailer. And the 3rd was for my 3 year old son to pee. Then later we were dropping a friend off at her car on Blue Diamond and Rainbow and saw you come by again. It was fun playing leap frog! Next time I see your rig I will say what up!

Me, my wife, Charlie, Craig and my wife's god daughter got in around 1:30am. We stayed up til about 4:00am. Got about 2 1/2 hours sleep. Woke up when Pete and Steveo got in. The sand was beautiful and the razors were SHARP! I managed to get stuck on one! It took a good 10 mins to get out. Well we had a blast. My son didn't feel too hot, kept getting sick but all is fine now. We had some good rides in. Dman and me were in our rails. Can't wait to do it again. Good times!

I know, but I have a big group that would rather go for a weekend then one night. I will regret not going to the night ride, but I am sure I will manage to hold back my tears while I am up in the cooler Utah weather all weekend! And I am not pissing the family off by going over Father's Day.
