  1. I will be there. Will be quadin it, but will take the buggy out to diagnose the noise I have in the tranny. Maybe I will run it and hope it holds together.
  2. Damn Terry, you really got her dug in! Glad you were able to have great friends and family around to help. So after it was all said and done, did the wife give you one of these ? Hope to see ya out there soon bro. Hows the back healing up?
  3. Good to hear Pete. I know you weren't looking forward to it when I talked to you on Wed. Glad to hear she is doing well. Tell her we are all wishing her a speedy and healthy reovery.
  4. What about white Fords? I see more lifted white Fords than anything else.
  5. Damn well in that case back at ya. I haven't really got to see your new one except a glimpse when we were at Dumont. Well, see ya out there soon!
  6. I have had mine since June of 05 so about a little over a year and a half. I have had to put at least 20,000 on them since I got them. They seem to be wearing great. Still got about 50% left on the ones that used to be on the rear and prob 60-65% on the ones that are now on the rear. I finally rotated them a couple of months ago. Stay with them. The only other tire I would even recommend is the Nitto Terra Grapler and they don't have the agrrassive look these Toyo's do being that they are only an All-Terrain.
  7. Reasons I got a shortbed... 1. parking is easier especially with the big a$$ tires I have 2. The only reason I would want a long bed is to pull a 5th wheel which I can't due being too high. 3. I can fit my quad and all the fuel back there already. Sucks going up the ramp with the quad though! 4. I like the look of the crewcab short bed better than a longbed. Don't get me wrong a longbed is very practical, just not for me.
  8. I think I saw your truck this morning on the freeway. I heard a honk and someone waved. It was on Summerlin Pkwy near Buffalo. I was in my white lifted F250.
  9. Hey Bound4Dirt PM me, I can answer most of your questions. I have had the Banks Six Gun, The Edge Evolution and am now happiest with mu DP-Tuner 5 position chip. Way more power than both the other two even when they were stacked. If you just want all-out power, give Dp-tuner a try. They can re-program your PCM or you can add an adjustable chip. I am also on DieselStop as "lvnalolife". I love all the ford vs chevy vs dodge arguments. Each one has their strong points. I like Chevy's and Dodges but chose my 7.3L Powerstroke for the deal and knowing that the motor is strong and proven. Too bad the 6.0's had so many problems. Dodge motors are great powerplants too, but they have their share of other problems too, just like chevy's. No truck is perfect, we all however like what we have. As long as the truck I chose can continue to get me to the dunes from now on, I will be happy. I had my tranny issues in the past and it looks like they have been handled (and to let you all know, it was the tranny shops fault as they could never get it right. I ended up with a Ford Reman and it has been working flawlessly ever since.) Even lifted on my 38x15.5's I still pull Potisi with my heavy a$$ trailer about 55-60mph. And that is just because I always try to keep my exhaust temps under 1250 just to be safe. I still have plenty of pedal to go.
  10. Long bed unless you want to spend a lot on the correct hitch. Make sure you check the hitch weight of the trailers you are interested in to make sure you don't need a dually.
  11. Neither do I with my 38x15.5R20 Toyo MT's. Like Pete said these tires are pretty good. I was able to pull my big a$$ toyhauler out of that same spot with only 2wd when I broke the front ring gear this past Thanksgiving. Good traction is always a plus in sand. Anything will be better than the stock cookie cutters. My father-in-law put the torsion keys on the front to level his and put 285/75R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on his 2500HD. Those work really good too.
  12. Do either of them have RV parking?
  13. That sucks. I hate to think what it is like to actually watch the thieves pull off with your stuff and not be able to catch them. I hope they can find it. Unfortunately it will probably end up getting stripped down and the parts used in another car or sold for profit. I doubt anyone that took it would be stupid enough to take it out and run it. Either that or they will at least strip it and re-powdercoat it. I hate effin thieves! :xmas_lipsrsealed:
  14. Pete, where is the reflective tape on top of this one? Looks good though!
  15. You said it has a pipe on it? Maybe your jetting might be wrong. You may need to lean out the main jet just a little. Is it slow off the line and then has good power? or is it sluggish all the time? I would definately recommend the oil injector block off and mix your gas.
  16. Good luck Pete! Sorry to hear about the rail. As the others said check out Short Sand Cars and see what they say. What could it hurt? If anything at least they may fix it so the next batch of owners wont have the same issue. Good thing you have a fall back plan, the Raptor or the two-wheeler dune nicely too!
  17. Well, I must be one of those dumb people you are talking about then, cuz I love the power my Subaru puts out! Its definately not a hill shooter, but can dune as fast as I need to get that a$$ pucker effect from my passengers.
  18. GPS is accurate on somewhat flat ground but for all out speed I think the radar gun would be more accurate as long as it was calibrated correctly.
  19. Yep like he said. I was at Dumont.
  20. WTF? That sucks! I had some good times at the South pole! Time for a new one! I hate some people!
  21. Its good to hear you're home and healing. I had come over to camp to take you on a ride when Pete had told me what had happened. I was like WTF? ANyway, I still owe you one, so whenever you are ready and not like this anymore!
  22. I'll keep a look out on my side of town! I hate f*cking thieves! Pete, I almost thought you were talking about yours when I saw the title!
  23. I guess I never added a pic of the new trailer. Here it is. 2005 Sierra Sport T34SP
