Sweet video Dave! Good work!

Yeah and it shifts and feels better than when I bought the truck used. So far it seems great, but we will see. I'll tell you one thing, it definately keeps the TC locked when I punch it now, where as it would let go before! So far I am happy with it. It is quieter now also. No more TC rattling. I can actually go through a drive thru and not have to turn it off to order!

All I can say is Ross and I have some freaks for wives! Especially when they have been drinking. Those that were there know what I am talking about and that is as far as I can talk about it!

We are all a bunch of fat bastards!! I might just have to go there for lunch today!

Sounds like fun! Count me in!

Well when you get something that can tow call me up. Why would I sell the truck when the only issue I have had was the tranny? And it all started cuz the shop that re-built it was f*cking retarded and couldn't get it right. Hey maxdout, 4:88 sounds like overkill. Do you ever drive that thing on the frewway? I have 4:56's and it is about 2500 rpms at 75 or so. I bet it pulls like a mother!

Come on guys! Lets go party! PM me for the details if you want to go. :eatdrink021:

Origionally the shop to remain nameless at this point, said he would buy me the Ford unit or pay that towards the BTS unit. He came back later and said he would rather just buy the Ford unit with the Ford warranty of 3 yr/75,000miles. I guess I can live wiht it. If something did happen I could take it to any Ford and they would swap it out for a new one at no cost to me. It will work for now. Besides there are a lot of design changes for the better since my year (first year of the superduty) on these trannies so the new one has all the updated parts in it. Instead of rebuilding mine it makes sense to get the NEW one he is buying, not a Reman.

Then there wouldn't be sh*t to talk about! What if my tranny actually got fixed right this time?
-
Yeah, one night we were out there at the north pole like at 3:00am. It was the same time Steveo pulled Pete's raptor with no one on it. To put a time frame on it, it was the last time Dave went out there. Paul jumped in the car to check out my shifting issue and set his helmet in the back seat. When he went romping around it flew out and rolled down the hill. We had a good laugh over it. You had to be there. Funny thing was we were just talking about it last weekend at Coral.

Its people like that that will ruin it for the rest of us! Friggin a-hole. You should have stopped and knocked some sense into him!

Well the tranny shop screwed me out of getting the BTS. He will only pay towards a new Ford unit. However it will come with a 3 year 75,000 mile Nationwide Ford warranty that is good anywhere which if (or maybe when) it breaks, I can take it to any Ford and they will swap it out for a new one. I guess it will work for now. I guess the newer trans has a lot of Ford issued updates. We can only hope it will hold together better.

Don't you know it is only the Coral Pink trips that seem to haunt me!

HAHAHA If I didn't know you better, I would have taken that the wrong way!

Couldn't help myself.

There is a reason that Banshees have ruled the dunes for the last 15 or so years. It is just within the last couple of years that the 4 stokers have been able to produce the power needed for the sand. In my opinion, banshees will always be my choice for the sand.

Yeah it reminds me of the Bate's Motel. It would creep me out if I broke down and had to stay there!

I have a 3 year old and a five year old. So come on out and camp with DDR. It will give my kids someone to hang with.
-
Don't forget to put your helmet in the back seat when you test it out so it can fly out again!

Let's get some stuck in the sand stories going:
lvnalolife replied to Ross and Alice's topic in Dumont Happenings
Well even though I have never got stuck, probably because of the big a$$ goofy tires. My father-in-law burried his truck once at Glamis. We hooked my truck to his truck, which was pulling his race car trailer and tried to pull it out. Wasn't happening, I left 4 huge rutts. I ended up having to tow his truck out and the try the trailer. It was so soft out there the trailer was like an anchor. I ended up having to back the trailer out in reverse. I have never let him live it down either getting his Chevy pulled out by a Ford. His come back however is "at least my truck always gets me there!" So here is some advise if you ever plan to camp at Glamis off of Gecko Road. Don't go off the road more than 15 feet or you will more than likely get yoursefl stuck! -
Yeah so hurry the F up!

Got a Tmaxx 2.5 and an old elec Losi XX4. I used to take the Tmaxx out to dumont, don't have all that time to wrench on it out there anymore. It was fun messing with the pitbull that was camping with us. I took him on the straights, but when I turned I usually flipped and then he picked it up by the tires and tried to kill it. Good times.
