Thanks for having us Kamal. Both Jordans were passed out by the time we hit pavement, then the first thing they said when they woke up, was, what about Alia? All three had a great time I think. Tyler said he s gonna get one of those 90's for his Jordan, (and sell her eton 2 stroke90) I was always alittle worried that one of them was gnna make a mistake and crash, but they did real good. Few!..... hmmmmmm, now back to work. If only I could take another 40 lbs off the sammy.....hmmm (with sawall in hand)

does the tach only go to 9999? How you gonna know when to shift? Is there a shift lite at 10800? looks nice.

It was nice out there, 80 degrees or so, perfect night etc.... Light breeze just enough to make it smooth overnight. The sammy (suzuki samurai) is a rhino killer. It climbed comp 3-4 times today with 2 225 lb guys, it towed a duramax/allison with a hualer out (about 28 ft or so) , it towed a ranger and quad trailer and qaud out, it towed a nissan with a small trailer out, and some body else that I cant remeber. It climbs right into the big bowl and right out. It goes pretty much anywhere you want to. My rail lost the air filter on the best ride I ve ever had in any rail. So after that we tried to fix/repair but it just wasnt having it, but it was a great ride. Next season is gonna be great. The rail will hopefully have all the bugs worked out, and the sammy is great. The two girls, my daugther and a friends and best friends) rode around camp about 1200 laps, and made a club ouse in the back of the truck. No accidents, no injuries, just energy tappng fun. I have no idea why rhino are so popular, when there is a better less costly alternative.

wow, I had no idea they were that gutless. Yes I was being serious about the suz samurai. They run about 1500$, 680 in 4 paddles, a sazall to cut some weight, a cage ok, about 800, some nice prp seats about 640, exhuast and header about 400, cai about 40$ , thats about 4000 on going prices. They you have a street legal rhino, its about 100 lbs heavier then a actual rhino, makes about 70 hp (double a rhino) and has more gears, more tire/ traction, its wider, has a heater, horn, some even have ac. All for about half a 450 rhino......my wife loves it, and so do the kids. It will go straight up comp too. BTW even the wheel base is about the same as a rhino and it ll do 80 mph on flat ground which really does give you that rush.

Its funny, if you own a ford or chevy alot of miles is 70k? 100K 150k???I don t get, I hear chevy/ford guys say it all the time...."I had an 03 with 90k miles and no problems, now I have an 06" THat was still a new truck! My 98 dodge has over 200K and pulls a 50ft trailer regularly, and will continue to do so for atleast the next 10 years. That was funny , and the battle for second continues......LOL

get her a suz samurai, twice the power of a 660, wider (read more stable) and way less money.

This is not it, but you couldnt tell. Mine is identical except mine has wheels, two front that I added and two in the back that it comes with. Same generator though. I think 360 is a pretty good deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/Generac-5000-Watt-Gene...1QQcmdZViewItem
-
I looked, its a generac, 5000, 6250 surge. It has 110 and 220. Its like new. Im in las vegas near the airport, I15/215 interchange.

Just doing some service and got to thinking, with pretty substail trans carnage in sand cars, there must be some pretty strong opinions about oil use? I can tell you one thing, they run hot, thats for sure. So whats your choice and why?

LOL, haha, Ive got 3.08s I think.....I havnt counted it yet but is a stock 091 3.08? I figure 32 inch tires, with a 1.3 fourth? (Im guessing fourth at 1.3 , I dont have the numbers) . The engine goes to 7000 (turbo suby)so thats about 166 mph......yea, real useful. One of the problems with the car, duning is done in second and when its in boost Im rear ending the v8 cars in my group. The scary part is it may even hav ethe power to pull fourth gear. So how hard is it to change gears in a 091?
-
how much do you need? I might have some.
-
I ve got a portable 5500 (6500 max) on wheels that I d sell. Now I have a kohler 7500 in the trailer, and dont see a need for it. I used to run it out on the ground on a chord, it s loud, but outside at the back of the trailer you couldnt hear it, but the camp next to you will on busy weekends. 360$.

looks like it......

well on the wages they get paid how are they expected to be able to by property? 4th grade level? So what your saying is they went 2 or 3 grades further then you? (sorry but that was just childish, how do you expect them to treat you when you say things like that?)
-
What is the purpose? A cummins is great, I have one, but its not an offroad truck. It does ok, but liftng it kinda defeats its purpose. I have had my 3500 offroad many many times, and never had a ground clearance issue. A cummins powered truck is for moving things, and having the bed hard to load doesnt suit it, lke wise having the bed up real high doesnt let it hook up to a GN trailer or a 5th wheel, which again defeats the purpose. FYI, Ive been paid twice in the last 10 days to move trailers cause other trucks could not. Best truck.....cummins, 4x4, 6 spd. If you tow a lot get a dually. If you really dont like dually then get a srw 3500. Dont expect great milage out of the cummins, esspecially when new, the newer ones dont do as good as the old 12 valvers, which gave the cummns the rep of great milaege.

I ve been staying out of this but I do appreciate the leo's post. I do appreciate them being there. Ive been going to dumont for years, I have never really had a meeting with any leo while out there. Once I was asked while going in about fireworks, while still in my truck cause ethey had a report of a truck like mine with fireworks. I never even stopped, he was on a bike riding next to me. I think for the most part there job, is PRESENCE, just being there, regardless if you have alittle fun going up the hill. Besides, being in the dunes, watching bad moves by riders and drivers could be improved by leos just telling them what they did that was so dangerous. This would be under the heading, of dont treat the injury, but keep it from happening in the first place. It seems that most people want leos to just clean up the mess after it happens, I d rather have a good relationship, friendly, curtious with leos that help people be better at duning. BTW, how is double riding in a camp viewed, like an adult and a 5 yr old, in camp only. And how is the helmet rule veiwed in the same situation? Helmet on child, no helmet on adult while double riding a 50 in a circle at say 5 mph. I ve always wondered. I ve always walked, ran next to my daughter till she got the hang of it, but my wife rode double without a helmet. I said something, so I was back to running. Also, incase the leos dont know, we have a 50 quad for the kids, that has two remote shut offs, and one pull cord shutoff, something you could ask regarding kids and safty when your wondering how concerned the parents really are. Any time she rides, my thumb is on the button. BTW, I also understand what the leo is saying about other people having more medical training, me and my wife have extensive medical training and experience as do many other people taht go. My .02, I like the LEO's. I ll try not to upset them or anyone else.

What happened with that? Did the tracker tumble or is that damage from impact? Did a rail do a wheelie and land on top of it? I understand what your saying about the tracker, but it can probably do better then most trucks. I have a samurai, but its a dune only vehicle, and can go anywhere you point it, 100lbs heavier then a rhino and double the power.

take some wood to park on, or carpet works well too. Only a couple feet, if your worried about getting stuck, walk the area first, locate your stopping spot and put the carpet down, get a roll at it, and stop on the carpet. When you leave, youll have a slight roll at the sand, to get out, just have someone grab your carpet or wood quick and catch up to you when you leave, or just stop on a hard spot.

well, this is a mid travel car, that probably has not lost a single cv in 3 yrs or so. So I decided Ill try it once, with cv's, 58 each from moore, and a couple limit straps @ 20 $ to keep the angle ok at full extention. Now, I just need to find out whos pcm is in it, looks like a ems stinger, or a microtech, make new headers and exhuast, remount the turbo, add one of my intercoolers, and fix all the boost leaks. That ought to keep me real busy for 10 days.

I have a mid travel turbo subie 4 pass. It has type 4's which I need atleast one new one , probably buy a couple. First question, where is the best place to get them? I ve seen them from 66-120$ online but its hard to tell if they are true type 4's or if they are selling type 2's as type 4's. Second, I ll have to run limiting straps with the type 4's to keep from killing them, so is a 930 or 935 conversion worth it? Anybody have some cv's?

there is a picture somewhere of two rangers standing by the stuck nissan. I was a hill or two away and everyone was just waiting for that one to take the quick way down. I love watching them, but I would never do it. My sammy made a resque mission on sunday, and as I passed the stuck black chevy I think they tied the pull strap to the tie rod and pulled the tie rod off as they pulled. The sammy with 4 paddles works great btw.

I was surprised to see a bunch of people with out helmets too, I also saw some double riding and even one triple riding. I also saw doable riding in an odysee, one adult stapped in and about a 5 yr old on his lap, just holding on. I saw a gang of people riding doable with no helmets in camps, all kids. I rode doable in camp on my daughters 50, me with no helmet and her with a helmet, to show her were to go. Then she proceeded to go around about 800 times. The nice thing is , any time she is riding, either me or my wife has out thumb on the remote kill, a nice feature.
