SHHHH...the broken recoil was my excuse for the total rebuild...cant let the woman catch on...lol btw..TY dunefreak
-
UUHH?! Why is this not a sticky....i couldve used this info, wouldve kept me from buyin the Estart and id still be ridin instead of lookin at a pile of parts... I just got fed up with tryin to get that damn recoil to work right. oh well, i still have all the pieces for when its time to do a pullstart pitster HO. I know ill end up with another 70 before long

not sure if a top mount estart would fit well, but most pitbikes are kick start anyways. if the one you get is a kicker check out hondaatc70.com, they should be able to hook you up with a pull start conversion. they have some cool chit over there and from what ive heard they are great to deal with, though I have no personal experience with them. lets see some pics of whatever you end up with

then my vote is for the Pitster 155 HO...i see one of their bikes powered by the 155 comin my way 'round spring
-
true dat B...ive got a grand into my $300 engine swap what She doesnt know can't hurt Me
-
i thought the budget was 400...steppin up to the pitster is well worth the extra 200 bones IMO if u can swing it. from what ive read that 155ho is a little monster, im thinkin about buyin a PP 155 pitbike this spring. i dont have any dunes to ride so i need suspension b4 i can use any more power than my 120 without destroying my back. whatever u decide, please post pics and a review. it seems ur tastes are real close to mine so ill be watching for your Ripper build closely.

ive had good results with everything ive ordered from PCC, i live in Alaska and get my orders in 2-3 days. i ordered last friday and had my package on monday... if i wasnt lookin for Estart when i got mine, thats the exact motor i would have gotten...

yea, i finally got it. ive still got some misc parts to buy, but its finally time to bring it inside and start tearin it apart. I know this means that the phone will start ringing at work and I wont have time to do anything at home, but oh well, thatd pay for some more parts...ive got a snowmachine that needs fixin too, the shnow is here and i have no toys to go play.. the front sprocket i have here is a 15 tooth, and rear is whatever is on it now. if im changing sprockets what do i look for? does it have to be for an atc70, or is it a standard kinda thing, just need 420 size, 36T..? im sure i could answer my own ? but im tired :peeps: right now and dont wanna do a search... im figurin ill need a new chain too, i heard mention that Sterdy has them in the right length, id rather not put one together myself if i dont have to. im ready to be playing outside instead of websurfing

...still waiting...as far as I know, its sitting at my local post office. SOmewhere in its travels it lost the "postage paid" sticker so I have to get a copy of the receipt from my friend in TX that re-shipped it for me so I dont have to pay for shipping Again... Its been gettin Very tempting to cannibalize the Pitster and run it without fenders so I can kick it and go play. Im not brave enough to rock the two-wheeler on the ice even with studs so it doesnt need its guts back till spring, I Might have an estart for the trike by then. Since Im thinking about it right now anyways...does anyone know what I can expect power-wise from the Lifan 120? If its anything like the GPX 125 thats in the Pitster, Ill be happy, but I was just curious how they compare.

my friend got one digit wrong in the zipcode so my motor got sent to a tiny little village in the middle of nowhere. now i get to wait n see if theyll look at the rest of the address and get it to me, or just 'return to sender'. i wish i had ordered a 125 from tres, had no problems getting my handlebar kit and bearings from him. he even threw in a freebie Tres Regatta 2010 drink wrap. trust me, if sterdy had that offer 3 months ago when i started ordering parts, id be spinning circles on the ice giggling like a little girl right now instead of staring at a pile of parts waiting to start my rebuild. i even have a fat ski for the front that i want to try in the snow if i ever get this bugger going.

I am SO tired of waiting for 70 parts. Ive been chompin at the bit for almost 3 months, waitin to play with my mini again. Its only when I need to order stuff that I dont like living here in the Far North. DRATV wont ship whole engines outside the lower 48, but took 2 weeks to notify me and cancel my order. So I reorder and have it sent to a 'friend' in 'America' and it gets there in 2 days, that was 3 weeks ago. He finally reshipped it last week, after being bribed with some fresh Alaskan Amber, and now I have 1 of the 2 packages he sent and of course its just the misc parts....Still no motor...FML
