  1. i don't really want a fixer upper, but I am ok with fixing stuff as needed. My inner "penny pincher" is really pissed off at my outer "I WANT that" Mike loves it... lol since he has to listen to me all day at the shop.
  2. is that why the front looks all warped...?? I am guessing delam = walk away? or if its cheap?? Even in good condition it's only a 5500-6000 hauler at best I think.
  3. The desert fox is a heavy pig to... uggg. I thought getting a superlight style trailer would be easier. I guess the Attitude 21ak and the WW Superlight FS2300 are my main "light" options. I am really looking forward to the sand sports show now, so I can check out the cool stuff , and look at toy haulers.
  4. That is the guy I don't like. He wasn't sure what year it was, and none of the photos there are even of the actual hauler, he flat out told me. total sketch.
  5. lol.... is the slide what looks like a door on the right side?? I talked again to the guy with the WW, cool guy. and he sent me the photo of the weight sticker. It says 6600lbs, and the generator and stuff were not options on the trailer, they were standard options. So I think the 6600 might be fairly accurate. talked today about my load weight and water and all that, and I think I will be about 1500-2000lbs added in. It does look like a really nice trailer. I think I am going to wait till the sand sports show to go down and look, since I will be down there anyway. If it sells O'well, for a $100 in gas I can wait. I did find this http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/rvs/4044577441.html on the craigslist here. They have dropped the price from 9800, and I think it's only worth about 5500-6k if it's in "good" shape based on NADA. It's old, but I won't need a loan, and it will save me a lot of money on the loan end. There is one more WW 2300 on the craigslist here, but I talked to the guy and wasn't happy so I didn't even go look at it.
  6. nice guy... sounds like a good trailer. he said dry weight is about 6500 on the sticker though. so it might be 7k dry. It's got all the right options and a layout I prefer. going to search for the correct dry weight. 7k dry is a little heavy for my little truck. So I looked up the specs... sketchy info. but NADA says it's 4700 dry, yeah right. rvingplanet.com lists the original WW spec sheet and it shows 5k dry which is the same as a superlight, but without the known issues. I have never towed anything anywhere near as heavy as a hauler will be, so I have no idea what to expect other then the people telling me I won't like it. I think if I can be 7500-8k loaded I can "suffer" through it at least for now. I have talked to a few people that have towed with 1/2 ton that were comfortable with it. I don't tend to be too scared by stuff when driving, but I don't want to be stupid.
  7. lol, thanks guys... that looks pretty damn nice. I'm gonna hit them up.
  8. I couldn't see the photos, i'm not a member of Glamis. I will just join up and take a better look. ... I joined but it won't let me do anything... "sigh" I like the sounds of it, and the weight would work. hopefully the Glamis site will let me do something soon.
  9. last time we were there it rained pretty hard on us Friday night. It made for a mess for sure. It makes the dunes pretty nice though. I have been having dreams of the one way trail, it was sweet last trip.
  10. That one isn't a Superlight, I think it's too heavy for my baby truck. Just heard the other WW is officially sold.
  11. Thank Bert... That is a pretty good one there. There is a 21 at the carson store here, but I made the mistake of going there on Saturday and got the guy that didn't know ANYTHING about the trailer, the price, hitch, or pretty much anything. Never gotten so many "I don't know" or "Ummms" from a sales guy ever in my life. the 21 is "new" and doesn't have a generator though. I am going to be taking a look at Johnny Walker here in town sometime.
  12. i need some sand. Hoping for Amargosa next weekend for sure. October is when the DJ stuff takes off and I already have gigs the 5th and 4 on the 12th. So far nothing the weekend of the 19th, but it will start booking more gigs I think. We should be out vending the weekend before Halloween and so far I don't have gigs then either. With GTP Off Road taking off pretty fast now, I am hoping I will be able to focus on it, and not let DJing take me away from my dunes much.
  13. That was who I was thinking of Pete. He works directly with Shelby mostly now, but I would check with him. When I had my car there he had some Asian cars in there, one was BAD a$$, so he might be able to do it.
  14. When I had my Roush Mustang I had it dynoed up by the speedway. But that guy now works directly with Shelby so I don't think he does much public stuff now. He also focused on American cars, the mustangs, Corvette, and GTO cars. We hope to get a dyno sooner then later, but at best we will only be able to do SxS and ATVs.
  15. Dynojet won't do dyno runs for others. They won't even do it for us and we are a dealer.
  16. Mike's Green RZRs is in pieces and most of it is sold off now so you won't be seeing that RZR ever again. He has his new to him XP900 that will be getting all decked out soon.
  17. Southpoint would be good. Personally I hate Silverton but I wouldn't hold it against you.. lol Aliante station, and red rock might also be good. Red Rock is also west and close to Red Rock conservation area. Not offroading but cool area. Aliante is up North, and closer to the speedway, (the speedway would most likely run you off), but it's also close to Nellis dunes/ apex riding area. It's public Offroad/ dunes/ desert/ terrain with plenty of room. No one would run you off there. Both areas have plenty of open parking. I do a lot of work with MGM Grand so I am always partial to them. If you have 20+ rooms call any of the hotels you consider and ask them for group rates. all or most will offer it. I'm not sure on good areas to cruise, there would be some up in Cold creek area, or over in Pahrump area. Mandalay Bay has a good size open lot by the convention center, but it you get too event like security will notice. especially if you are there for an hour or more, is my guess. Luxor is also close to Mandalay bay and they both have the open parking. The holding a meeting thing might be tough, but if you book enough rooms and stuff they might let you use a lot, or back lot or something if nothing else is going on. The off strip properties, like Southpointe, Aliante, Red Rock would probly offer better deals, parking and event possibilities.
  18. I certainly don't plan on kids, and I have the wife, who hasn't been out to Dumont but once.. my very first time ever, 3 years ago I think. I could see me needing to fit an XP in the future, but for now the SxS freak me out, and i'm not sure I could drive one on a good run. Mike and I went and looked at the Attitude, and it certainly looks better in the photos, and it needs some work. nothing super major but i'm not so much of the fixer upper type. It also weighed 5k dry. I'd rather get a bigger Superlite if I have to tow around the weight anyway.
  19. I am going to look at it tomorrow. I used to work on the Big motorhomes, worked for Country Coach in their factory and service center for like 5 years, so I have some idea of what i'm looking at. @Pete, I hear ya with the diesel and big hauler, but until I run a rail or at least a sxs, which I don't see either happening anytime soon, I think the little hauler will be good. It's cheaper to haul, will fit 2 quads and the wife (if she EVER comes) and even some inventory for Vending out there.
  20. here is the WW I want to look at... http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/rvs/4034338440.html I am pretty sure I can tow this. For right now... I think this WW would be my "ideal" hauler, smallest, lightest option with the Front bed that is really out there. Too bad the dipshit selling it doesn't respond or have a phone number.
  21. I can't find what the pricing should be for this. but overall it looks like about what I want. I kind want one a little bigger, with front bedroom, but at least if I start small it would be as hard on my F150 (9300 tow rating) and won't be as much for me to worry about. I have driven 45 Prevost motorhomes, but haven't driven too much with a trailer, and not with this truck. Mostly just towed my little trailer (if you have seen it), or a 12' enclosed we used to move into our shop. Anyway... Here is the link http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/rvs/4018020241.html What do you think? There is, what looks like a perfect WW fs2300 superlite, but after a few attempts of email ( no phone #) they haven't even written back... FN idiot.
