  1. Someone buy this thing... you won't find a better RZRs deal and package. And I don't want RZRs parts in the shop all over the place. we have space issues already going on. 8)
  2. sounds to me like everyone should stop by the shop and get a big bore/ stroke kit. then everyone can fight it at once.... and we get to install a bunch of kits. sounds perfect to me. all we have to do is the install, it's up to the owner to prove it. but we will help in anyway we can.
  3. they can write the ticket pretty much no matter what, then it's up to you and the judge. pretty sure they meant anything under 1000cc when built even though that's not what it says. Guessing some LEOs might let you go, but others won't. For any duners that want to try it out GTP Off Road is happy to install a big bore kit on your RZR and any others to get them above the 1000cc. (we promise nothing in reguards to the laws though)
  4. This is from post #49 in this thread... There is some other info on page 2 of this thread. OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLES AB 1266 Signed by the Governor Today I am thrilled to report that today Governor Jerry Brown signed AB 1266 into law. I want to thank you all for your advice and support in getting this passed. I could not have done it without you. AB 1266 removes the language requiring passengers to be able to sit "with both feet flat on the floorboard" while restrained. This will ensure that children can continue to ride, allowing families to continue enjoying off-roading together. This bill also delays the implementation of the provision prohibiting the use of post-manufactured seats until July 1, 2013. This will give legislators time to work on a solution that would allow operators who have safely modified their vehicles to continue riding. Now that AB 1266 has been signed into law, my office will work on securing an author for a bill to resolve your remaining concerns. I will update you in the coming weeks on the progress of draft legislation as well as information about which legislators will be carrying the legislation next year. Thank you again for all of your input and support over the past two months. Sincerely, Assemblyman Paul Cook 65th Assembly District
  5. the passenger thing was removed from the bill before it went into effect. I can't remember about the seats for sure, but I think that was removed also.
  6. Just used my Zeus Whip up here in Oregon and went down some trails with trees. Whip held up fine, even after hitting a very large branch about half way down the whip. Very happy with these whips.

  8. Thanks. I have to be careful now with the gopro mounting as I found out I was leaning on the camera when it was mounted on the heal guard and breaking the case. That is why there was only a few shots in one area of the heal guard view. Have to find a new safe location.
  9. BLM told me the "official" Halloween weekend will be the weekend before. Something like the 24-31st.
  10. youtube dumbs down the videos when you upload them. Some accounts, the big guys, seem to get good quality, but most don't. I only record in 720p, and upload an MP4 720p file to youtube, but they never look as good as they do on my computer. The HERO 3s will do 1080p, but even the black isn't "great" quality HD, but it is pretty damn good. Youtube always tells me to "adjust your quicktime setting for better results." I don't render the videos as a quicktime file though, i use the MP4 HD settings, which aren't that great to. I was going to try rendering a Coral pink 4th video as a quicktime file and see if it helped. I think Youtube video quality has gotten worse really. There are tons of formats to render a video in and they all have advantages, my PS3 will play the MP4, and my computer seems to play them well so that's why i use it.
  11. Mike likes to text.... He texts me at the shop all the time since I am in the office with A/C and he stays in the shop...
  12. This was posted on FB, but thought I would post up here to. Sand Sports Magazine posted up one of my photos, and is now showing credit for it. Kinda cool to get a video featured, and it's not even one I would consider one of my best... http://www.sandsports.net/video.php
  13. First weekend might be better, unless there is some "W" out there between, the second weekend will have some tore up dunes already. pretty sure I will be ready to hit up both weekends, at least partially if I can. Especially if we get our Vendor permit... all work but you better believe there will be some play.. lol
  14. I want to go.... Wait, I am going. HELL YEAH.. Got all the LED stuff ready to go, bike is tuned up, I should even get a new jersey tomorrow for the trip. (yes Jodi... it has Yamaha Blue on it)
  15. Ok, I am going to post one of me, and give photo credit to Jodi...
  16. I think I am going to be in Oregon sometime in the first to weeks of August and I am DJing a wedding on the 23rd.
  17. The early morning rides seem to pop up, and form with out anything to normal about them. It would be nice to get one in. maybe later in august works good for me. all that needs to be done is a date and a post to see interest. only need a few guys to make it fun. the last one had a ton of people needing a good sand fix.
  18. I wear the Helmet, googles, gloves, boots, and riding pants. not sure the riding pants really do much protection. I looked at neck braces and chest protectors yesterday a little at ridenow since I was there anyway. I didn't really have the feeling I wanted to buy them though. Since I have only been actively riding for about 2 years now, and the speeds have increased, and my riding style has changed I guess I should look more seriously at protection. I started wearing the boots to help my feet from hurting when jumping and stuff, and they work great for that. shifting hasn't been much of an issue for me, but rear braking has. I basically just slam the rear brake when I need it since the boots take away all feeling of pressure on the pedal so I can't control the pressure very well. I noticed that Alpinestar has some vented boots, in the tech 8 range that I wouldn't mind trying. and they have the superlights that are a different style, much thinner design that many of the trick riders wear but they are like $600.
  19. The video always slows it down, and makes everyone look spread out. It's one reason I like the heal guard view, as it looks much more active, fast, and fun then the old helmet view. For just a run video though, that one wins hands down. with the sun coming up, and the lines it looks sweet.
  20. Uneditted video 2. that ended with Dune_Cruzer's crash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r4nTyGT5gY My Gopro was having issues, and the heal guard views were lost when the video card vibrated out of the camera. I also discovered the brand new case is already almost broke apart. Pretty disappointed in my Gopro these days. Youtube screwed up my video report video, it messed with the songs I put on there. Time to try a new edit and see. Maybe I need to start a Vimeo account.
  21. it was kinda hot, and water is supposed to help... just glad nothing was broken cause all I had was water. So it would have been, "damn your leg is broke... want some water." Definitely some crazy chit, just glad everyone walked away. Both accidents were pretty harry.
  22. how long can we go on a tank of gas? that should be a good way to judge if the run is longggg enough.. lol
