I got my new case and some tethers. Hopefully this case doesn't break, but if it does, hopefully the tether will keep the camera long enough to not lose it.

Video Says Gordon's Well at the beginning. I seen this video a while ago. what a scary feeling that would be. After seeing this, I always keep my eye on sand rails, and try to make sure they see me. On a run I will go away from them also.

how was that chesty and camera mounted?? I ended up mounting the gopro upside down on the chesty so I could point it up and out more. I set up the straps so the camera hangs just below nipple height, and tightened as much as I could. I tried videoing with the Chesty last time we were at Coral and it was too chopped and the video wasn't really usable so that is better then I what I got in the end. Hopefully I will be able to make it back up there soon. wish I could have gone this trip.

is anyone going from up north?? we can meet at our shop. 3660 N 5th st. and carpool from up there. will see about carpooling with Newly if he needs my quad.

I have an Outlaw 525 IRS you can ride if you want for the 15th. pretty much all of us are going to be on quads.

new lenses, done that. I still need to buy a new case from the last Amargosa trip. Mine has both tabs broken off at the bottom. was thinking about hitting up Thacker for some of his "old out of date" HD2 stuff. Guess I better figure something out before the 15th.

I meant we have 4 door trucks, with room for 4 adults inside, trailer will fit 4 quads. I haul my bikes around with the paddles. The Sandstars do fine just sitting on the paddles. My Outlaw sat like that for months with no long term issue. My Skat Traks are on aligned, so they sit on the flat spot between the paddles. A summer ride is usually pretty hairy, so make sure to tighten the wheels, fill tank, and tighten boots and Helmet strap tight... you just might need them.

Do you have a good friend that does vinyl wraps or something? you have everything wrapped up so nice. We need to do that to our stuff.

I am planning on going, and I think Mike is as well. We should be able to take 2 other quads on Mike's Flat bed trailer, and we have room in our trucks also.

Lights do help a lot.... there are a few places to get them in town.

i got a Coleman one from Walmart that has a recline to it, it's a really nice chair. wasn't too expensive, but it was hard to find. I went to 3 stores to find it.

last year cane beds was pretty bad. Mike broke a window in the hauler from the flexing. Even with my little trailer i was only going about 25-35mph. and there were some pretty bad washboard areas, and holes through out. There was also a long gravel section just before the camp ground. It was pretty smooth last year, just super dusty following, but they might not have smoothed that out making another bad section. PS...Is anyone getting there early? like Thursday night. Last year when we got there memorial weekend on Thursday night the meadows were pretty busy and by friday night it was like a sardine can.

i got a call the other day for a gig that weekend but as of right now, I have no work that weekend. Mike was going to go this weekend, but called it off. Maybe with the crew that is talking about going up he will want to go? (since I still don't have my own hauler and all) A carpool trip makes it a little easier for all of us. I need to do some testing on the raptor, and get some photos of stuff.

i looked at it but got sidetracked with work. I am interested, but don't really think i am qualified to be in that position, other then i am willing to speak up as needed, and listen. I haven't really been duning long enough, or been involved as much as so many others. I like being involved and trying to do my part vs just standing around an bitching (even though I am good at that to)..

i am open for the 15th, or 16th. I would prefer the 16th, incase work did pop up that is the least likely day to have a conflict.

after seeing a few people with radios on quads, it's on my list to get for sure. Just have to figure out what i need to get and that it's programmed properly.

Visit Mexico.com... really. Wasn't this in San Diego? pretty much same thing and lots of people there swam from Mexico already once. That big jump looks crazy. So the track isn't dirt?? it's a mix of stuff??
