  1. i lock mine up to. I know not more then a month or two ago someone'es sand rail was rolled out of their camp and stolen. i think you got the be pretty brave to steal sh*t from people out there, get caught and a good a$$ beating may be the minimum they would get. Lots of dessert to get "lost" in out there.
  2. thank god for no more kick start Honda Hoopty. no more 5th gear pinned to try and keep up.
  3. i was very dissappointed i wasn't able to make the cleanup and support FoDD and Terry. Would have loved to have been there to represent GTP but glad we were able to get some prizes in there for the cleanup effort. Hopefully next year i can make it happen. Glad things went well, and everyone made it out safe.
  4. not sure how many people would be out that weekend. I could be pretty hot. Might be some if it turns out to be cool though.
  5. I may be able to provide some sound help... but I am not able to go now thanks to work. I am not happy, but it's important (I hope). I do have sound systems available though. Mike might be able to bring down.
  6. I am disappointed i haven't been able to make the sub-group meeting and stuff. I want me to be involved and help. I haven't been at Dumont for very long, but i am now. Unfortunately,i am out for cleanup weekend now due to work. I have had a very bad year this year with Dune trips and work not working together very well. This gig is a good one, and may lead to more good stuff though. Anyway, I am willing to help. Sometimes I need a kick in the butt to get moving but once i do i am ready to go. I definitely feel more offroaders/ duners need to get involved to help fight the treehuggers and others. As said before, we can be our own worst enemies.
  7. Honda rears are 4/110. at least most of them as far as i know. With 4/115 and 4/110 you could cover a good chunk of the most popular models and brands. My Outlaw has a 4/110 but the offset if totally different since it's IRS, however; the standard offset wheels will fit (maybe with filing on the hole in the middle of the wheel.) I've never heard of that brand of dyno, what is it's reputation against Dynojet?
  8. if the BLM doesn't try to rape and pillage as I have heard they are doing it could be worth it. I know how to run a dyno, and how the tune with a PCV, so i think it would be fun to help.
  9. These are Douglas Blue label wheels. (.125) Fronts are 4/156 bolt pattern and are 10" x 6" wheel with a 4 +2 offset. They are about 2 inches wider then stock wheels, giving you more stability without having to spend a bunch of money on suspension. Wheels are in general good shape, with just minor dings. Rear are 4/115 bolt pattern and are 10" x 8" wheel with a 3 +5" offset. Wheels are in general good shape, with very minor dings. they also have chrome vavle stems in them. I will sell these as a set for $100, or i will sell the fronts and rears seperately for $60 a pair. I will not sell them each.
  10. i think it would be interesting to do, if the cost wasn't too high. for me it wouldn't be for a tune, just numbers at Dumont instead of Vegas elevation. Would have to have tires to put on for sure, since everyone would have paddles on. I am thinking $40 for a couple pulls would be fun, for $50 i may do it, for more then $50 i wouldn't. If the cost was cheaper you would get more people doing it i am sure. then you could always charge extra if they really need a tune.
  11. i would think they are Terry, not sure the specs on the 450. They are 5.6" tall from what Protaper says.
  12. These were the wrong bars for my combo. They are brand new Protaper Contour Phat bars, in Raptor bend. I mounted them so i can't send them back. They have marks only where the controls were mounted and the clamp was. All would be the same when you mount them up. I am looking for $50. they need the basic bar adaptors that don't raise them up too far. It was either new bars, or a new clamp for me so i chose bars.
  13. I signed the petition and support the BP and military. It's too bad that our military is wasting it's time overseas. This time, money and assets could be much better used on the border, where we are being invaded illegally on a daily basis. I'll never understand some peoples attitudes on illegals, and border security. Let's see how it works if Americans go to Mexico. We should treat them the same way they would treat us... at best. Other countries are not so lazy about this stuff, so why are we. Just think how much better schools would be if students spoke english, and the parents paid taxes, and fed their own kids breakfast. Think how much better it would be if Hospitals didn't give out Millions in free health care to illegals. Think how much better it would be if all working in America paid taxes, and didn't steal identities, had car insurance, and didn't send Millions of dollars illegally (or legally) earned in America back to Mexico. is the racism... GET REAL. if Canadians were doing it I would feel the same way. My parents came to USA in the 70's and followed all the rules as required. why should others get a free pass. Crossing the border illegally is a federal offense isn't it... so they are all criminals. I'd sign the petition 10 times, or 100 times, or more if i could. It may not be perfect but the more people out there trying the better. Where do i sign up to be on the ATV squad, that would part would be fun... not sure i could do the rest though. I hope that the Lazy criminals in government can figure sh*t out someday. The stupidest part is that Americans voted the same freeking idiots right back in, knowing they SUCK!!! Ok, i feel better know... hoping the petition works for all our sakes.
  14. I lost the camping buddy and bed, so i am out... I had to work but put someone else on the gig to be able to go. I already canceled him and just going to the gig myself. I would love to get day trip Sunday if anyone is going to be out riding most of the day. I need to get a toy hauler.
  15. cheaper to register in NV then Cali, couple hoops to jump through but not bad now it's been done enough times.
  16. Mike and I, and a few others were talking about it seems the Holidays aren't as busy, and the off weekends are busier. That makes it harder for vendors i'm sure. I know we won't be looking to vend out there due to the costs involved. I called BLM to try and find out info but never even got a call back. After we heard about the costs we gave up for now. The flag guy always seemed to be busy, but i can see how with all the costs, there was no money in it for him. He used to be out there all the time.
  17. personally i understand going to the area where people are gathered to take a look around. This is for safety of all. Part of their job is to look for registration, that just they way it is. if people are going to be racing in bigger groups, or as bigger groups then having a leo or 2 in that area makes sense incase of an accident. People want them there when their is one, well they have to come from somewhere. what does constitute a "gathering?" if they are all just meeting up to race as friends that seems like it would be legal and perfectly fine. For the drag racers they need many others to be able to have any fun, so they need a "group." The LEOs should also monitor a group like that out in the dunes to help control trash and things like that. Even in the short time i have been going out there, i have noticed a drop in vendors. that is too bad, but from what i have seen the fees and costs are INSANELY high and completely unreasonable.
  18. what's wrong with my pic?? it looks fine on my end.
  19. Thanks Terry, sorry I wasn't able to make it. I am hoping they can get to the road for sure. I can't imagine how the people with haulers and MOHOs feel. I need to talk to you about the clean-up weekend. Pretty sure i'm going to be there. so a phone call is in order this week i think.
  20. O, Damnit damn it... see that's why i don't lead usually, I have no idea where i'm going. That's one reason to have Jodi around, she has built in GPS.
  21. OK, how about the North-West-ish area pol... lol
  22. dang, i had a couple good ones to. One only works once a year as well. O well, i should be making cleanup weekend and you can barade me there for not making the Meeting.
  23. there is a west pole... we call it the North pole.
  24. i wanted to go, but missed the bus... I was riding Monday at Amargosa, and didn't get to respond to Terry in time. sorry about that. i really did want to go. I do have other excuses to if you would like to hear them.
