  1. i miss my black wheels but have gotten used to the polished/ faded polished wheels. I will go back to the black wheels soon. I want to get the bead locks, and get the rings done in blue to match over the back wheel. should look cool.
  2. i would say 30-40 per wheel, but not sure who to go to here. I wouldn't run Haulers on a 450+ bike preferably. The haulers aren't made for the 400cc+ bikes (per Skat~Trak), the Extremes are a much stiffer paddle and will give you better traction per paddle. Yes, i know a lot of people do, but to have extremes and switch... I have ran a 22x11x8 8 paddle on my bike with current power, but at Coral pink (5500ft) and i could feel the power difference (loss) from the tire size. I do know where you can get some new Black Bead lock wheels for the same price as new DWT and paying for the coating. I am changing over to the Bead locks soon i think. If you want to sell the 20x10x10 let me know. i would be interested for the right price.
  3. that looks like fun... I might still have my paddles on though just for fun. I've riden in snow in Oregon before and the Predator 500 i was on did not like it much. It was only about 6-8" of snow and it would barely move forward on the logging roads till it dug down to the gravel.
  4. Damn that looks nice, and i like the Yamaha banner in the background. Maybe you should get off the internet and get in to hooking things up... lol
  5. I say bring it... and maybe a hot chick in a bikini to use it would be nice to..
  6. this was the part that was removed from the bill. i can't remember now what it was changed to. but the wording is diffrent.
  7. i am in for this weekend as of now. Hoping to even go before this as well.
  8. I would think that a letter from the lawyer might work?? not really sure how a will is written but that might work. Knowing how they are being though they would want the original will sent over, which doesn't come back. I guess not having a VIN can mean impound and fines... so at least there is a NV option to get something, (brightside)
  9. I thought you liked to Argue pat... or just not with people half your age.. lol I'm not trying to argue with you, i'm just trying to get details straight. how about this: DMV Mailing address from http://www.dmvnv.com/locat.htm: Carson City 555 Wright Way Carson City, NV 89711-0400 8a-5p M-F | Get Map (775) 684-4368 (775) 684-4389 Fax NV OHV Mailing address from http://nvohv.com/registration/ Address: OHV 555 Wright Way Carson City, NV 89711
  10. At least on private sales you don't have to pay Taxes. There will be a lot of people without bill of sale proof, and even with a current private sale, that bill of sale might not be enough it seems... crazy
  11. Resource: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=26294 What If I Am Visiting From Another State? [/url] 1) Q: A: I will be traveling to California from another state to ride my OHV. Do I need California OHV registration (Green or Red Sticker)? If you are a resident of another state and your OHV has valid registration from that state, you do not need a Green or Red Sticker or a California Nonresident OHV Use Permit. If your OHV does not have valid registration or the equivalent from your home state, you will need to get a California Nonresident OHV Use Permit. A title is not registration. For states bordering California, the Oregon OHV Permit, the Nevada OHV Registration Decal, and the Arizona OHV Decal meet the requirement for OHV registration by residents of those states. States that do not have an OHV registration program are: Alabama Kansas South Carolina Alaska Kentucky South Dakota Florida Mississippi Tennessee Georgia Nebraska Virginia Hawaii North Carolina West Virginia Illinois A non-resident with an OHV from one of these states must purchase the California Nonresident OHV Use Permit to operate on California's public lands. A non-resident from the remaining 34 states need not purchase California's permit as long as they can provide valid proof that they have a current registration or their home state's equivalent for their OHV. If a nonresident cannot provide valid proof of possessing such a document, they must purchase the California Nonresident OHV Use Permit. (15)
  12. Basically you can't get titles for them under current rules. You have no proof they are yours... More people keep saying how picky the DMV is being with giving titles. I know they were with me and I had the BOS from Ride Now. I am not sure what the answer is as even one bill of sale may not be enough. To my understanding the Staff that does all the stickers and titling is the DMV. The commission sets the rules and stuff, but this is a bit of a grey area for me i guess. I think the DMV runs the VIN and stickers, and titles though. based on mailing and phone conversations while getting my stickers. Also: Just to clarify Vehicles purchased after July 1, 2012 must be registered and titled within 30 days of the purchase : http://nvohv.com/registration/
  13. Thanks for the Info. I think it's good to keep the truth about these happenings and educate others to help prevent accidents and injuries. Once again my condolences to the family, and best wishes to the injured person and get well soon. And Blake, Thank you for going above and beyond to help the fellow duners and injured.
  14. NICE!! I am ready to go this weekend then... anyone want to go?? even a day trip??
  15. seems a little over kill on tickets for stickers for sure. yes, people need to have stickers, but as the saying goes "Safety FIRST"... cops need to control the idiots first, around comp, and around camp.
  16. Damn it have to rewrite all this.... I am assuming at this point that the rail in question did NOT have a NV OHV sticker as it should be impossible to get a NV OHV sticker without a VIN#. California does reconize the NV OHV sticker. I did find this listed on websites. As of July 1st, 2013 all NV OHVs must have a NV OHV sticker, requiring a Vin inspection and/or Vin Assignment. As of July 1st, 2012, all OHV sales (after this date) to NV residents must have a NV title, and NV OHV sticker. part of the Reason for the title rules, is not all OHV owners can prove ownership to get a title. You must have an old title in your name or signed over, and/or a Valid bill of sale. I had bill of sale from Ride Now. Also, you must prove that NV taxes were paid, and there is a special form just to show the taxes paid, for sales AFTER July 1st, 2012. No proof of taxes paid is required for sales prior to July 1st, 2012. A VIN # and VIN inspection are required to get the NV OHV sticker and a title. For any OHV sold BEFORE July 1st, 2012 the owner MAY get a title if they so chose, and pay the one time title fee.
  17. That's cheating Steve was in 2 of them... lol and i was only in 1 and yes i voted for the one i'm in cause that was a hell of a rescue mission.
  18. Mark, I am ready to go whenever... right now i don't have any work until January 30th. It really sucks work wise but hoping i can make the most with some Dune time. It looks like the dunes might be shredded for a week or so. Maybe we will get a report of the condition of them this weekend from someone and try for a trip out next week. The 12th-13th weekend still looks windy and crappy up till the Wednesday the 16th. That should clear the dunes up nicely, not sure what it really takes. Up till then it's only winds about 4 mph and i'm guessing that's not enough. I found a Toy Hauler in Craigslist that i can rent for $80 a day that i can tow with the F150 ( I think). so i am debating on trying that out if need be. I'd rather try and bunk with someone if possible though. Even carpool out and share transport costs. I'd still like to rent from a DDR member or friend first rather than off craigslist. The rental might be cheaper then owning at this point for me.
  19. i might actually try and make this one, last 2 years i have had to work... I'd like to help out and take some of the stress off Terry before and during the event.
  20. maybe the NV OHV stickers will help out since people can get a VIN from the DMV if they don't have one. That blows the rail was taken though... hopefully they can get it back. I really hate California government. i even hate driving through it anymore, stupid 55mph while towing.
  21. yeah, the stickers are huge. I have mine on the left front fender facing forward and Nevada says it needs to be visible from the rear or left side of the bike. Technically you can see it from the left side with the slant of the fender, but a picky LEO might have an issue. The Leos must be a little bored if they are being picky about the location of the sticker. Fingers crossed that if i come accross them, they are in a good mood. I am always nice to law enforcement even if they are wrong as it's paid off for me in the past.
  22. with recent accidents out there i think they are showing a presence to make some people think. I haven't heard as many people talk about having their tags checked. I have my Nevada ones, but its not in the "right" spot per Nevada. Not sure what the LEOs would say or if they know .
  23. Looks like the 12-13th will have some wind, snow, rain so many the 19th-20th weekend will be the next good weekend. smooth dunes after that. Maybe a trip to Amargosa??
  24. so who is ready for a post new Year's trip in the sand?? I am pretty open right now for January so let's go ride...
  25. I have been using a 16gb recording in 720p 30fps. I always bring my laptop with me and transfer after each day of riding. I am usually at about 8-10GB on it and that is about 3-4 or so. It's very deciving how much time you actually ride when out there. I stop the camera most of the time for any length stoppage time while out in the dunes. it saves space and makes editing easier.
