I have my run speed up pretty good now. Pete goes fast, but i felt like i was keeping up. Even at the higher speeds and 5th gear. Sorry for the audio Terry. The camera was picking up some weird sounds and vibrations so just the bike audio wasn't working. Plus with this one i timed some of the video the switch with the audio.

just changed the oil, washed the bike, lubed it the joints, and loaded the bike back on it's trailer. All ready for another great trip.

there were a lot of people leaving when i was coming in... but it did look like someone was just pulling out as i was getting into camp. I said to myself if Pete and everyone leaves I am going to be pissed. But Pete is hardcore

glad to hear, what i need to hear so i don't get lazy tomorrow morning. I am pretty dead after my marathon day yesterday but i want to RIDE! -
just to be clear for everyone... i am only giving Terry sh*t. I had a great time that weekend, and i know Terry is a great driver and very safe. Things happen when you are out at the dunes and honestly just feel bad that there was damage to the car that day. i would do it all over again in a second. Terry opened his motorhome up to this rookie, fed me some GREAT food, improved my riding skills FAST, and has been a great guy.

I have the bed cover and padded bed rug in my truck, and it shouldn't be too cold so thought i would give that a try. wish the bed was a little longer so I would fit in it. I just need to buy a generator and a old Microwave, then i can eat to. I... ummm... don't know how to bbq... let the jokes begin

i will just try both, this Sunday and next weekend i can do a whole weekend. Just have to figure out the details to for a whole weekend.

have to rant for a minute

Mark the neighborhood i live in is newer. Oldest homes are about 4 or 5 years, mine is almost 2.5. my street goes diagnally through the block so all the kids cut through to go back and forth to school. It's a public street, fine walk through but leave my sh*t, and others alone. I had to confront a father last summer when his daughter was caught jumping the 5 foot tall fence at our park to use the water park. He made me talk to the daughter first, then got out of the car. then he told me 2 different stories then the girl did. he didn't care AT ALL that his kid and friends were jumping the fence to get in. Bet it would be a different story if they were hanging by the fence or hurt in the water park. Too many parents are crazy these days, no wonder the kids are. -

i had the cops here yesterday. i had enough. got home to one group of kids standing in a neighbors yard throwing rocks in the air, in the street and on each other. I know they didn't live there. Another group of about 8 kids in the middle of the street screwing with a scooter. rode right behind me as i was backing into the driveway. riding on the sidewalk, back and forth down the street, and hitting each other as they were riding around. nothing happened to the truck. they said cameras were a good idea but to make sure and get ones that are clear and not grainy or it's a waste of money. They also said they would make notes at the department to up patrols before and after school. -
i should be there Sunday morning for at least the day. I figure everyone is leaving Sunday night. I got no options to leave any sooner

I will check out the camera set. I was hoping to find a wireless set so I don't have to run wiring and worry about painting it. I have HOA here. (i am on the board though). wireless should be easier to take with me. Moving from N. Vegas and this neighborhood will be good. especially to a 3 car garage that my truck will fit in. -
So i bought my new F150 in December. I have to park in the driveway cause there isn't room in the garage. After owning the truck for almost 4 months the f*cking kids that walk to school through my neighborhood can't seem to leave it alone. After less then a month, the tailgate was tagged with some gang sign. At about 2 months or so the tail gate was keyed. I moved the quads to the other side of the garage and park the truck in the slightly longer part of the driveway to keep it as far away as i can. I also back it in to keep the big "target" of a black tailgate off the street. I had the truck all washed up yesterday, and always inpect it, as well as pretty much everyday. and now 4 month in.... this afternoon i walked out and have to walk around the front and what do i see... a nice rattle can spray job below the grille. SERIOUSLY... I think i will look at some wireless camera systems, but i put the Gopro with the suction cup on the windshield plain as day for them to see. maybe it will at least make them think twice. I set it to take pics every 5 seconds, so i think i will put that on when i go to bed. any ideas on a camera system for the house?

88MPH winds... wow. that's worse then being pinned in a sandcar after rolling... I mean... that seems excessive. I will play it by ear to, i have nothing going so far next weekend 6-8, and it seems the dunes might be smooth...

I am going to plan on being there Sunday, coming down solo it looks like. I will plan on being there about 9 or 10am. My gig on Saturday got moved up an hour but still wont get home till late.
-
man I wish i could go. I have a super long day on Friday, and my gig goes just into the evening on Saturday. Wondering how torn up the dunes will be on Sunday and if anyone will be wanting to really put in some dune time.

Mikes New Raptor 700R Build + Dyno Sheet
Adam @ GTP Off Road replied to Sand_YFZ's topic in ATV / Motorcycle Talk
nice numbers. little farther then i think i want to go until it internals "need" work. Personally i wouldn't want to ride a 2 stroke so putting the money is my raptor is my only choice right now, may have to try out a YFZ450 someday to see the real difference. The last group ride we went on i had no trouble keeping with my all stock bike. The bike had more in it for sure, but i would still love some bolt ons and some nicer sound from exhaust. -
I liked the bubbles Mike, they were very Cute. lol
