  9. Yes, Mike and I had a few good runs in the cars, comp really put them to a test...I made it up comp but it was tough. Sunday night we were going up and down comp with no one around and actually got stuck on the "right side" in a ditch... it was nice though to sit and have a beer and enjoy the full moon and peace and quite a top comp...
  10. Im a little slow so I dont get the "Mr. President" reference... LOL I loved the dunes and at first was a little freaked out by the razor backs but once I started riding and got the hang of how to get over em.....it became the most fun I've ever had on sand with a quad.
  11. ha, slight headache and sore legs from the impact but I was just really comfortable and the sand was cool...lol
  12. So I guess I am guilty of following too close but why did he stop??? LOL
  13. So Will came back to camp and told me what he did.....ugh, on behalf of our camp....I apologize for him..lol I yelled at him for disturbing you. So our trip started when we arrived in this foreign place called Dumont Dunes Thursday morning around 10:30-11:00 am. There was literally one other trailer and our group out there so we got to camp anywhere we wanted. Ended up near a small hill around C-13 and couldn't have been a better spot. The kids played on and around the hill while we went out for rides. Friday Mike (CharlesUFarley) rolled in and joined the fun and we met up with John (desertrider71) on Saturday. Good guy and glad we could meet up. Wish we had more time to go on a ride but maybe next time. I must say I was very impressed with Dumont and maybe a little scared at first of the razer backs but after a while got the hang of em and had a blast riding my quad with a few buddys. We had a couple small crashes and good laughs watching them back on the projector at night. The sand was beautiful when the wind wasn't blowing and when we left today Monday, it was blue skys and from the looks of the dunes, they were perfect. Back to reality, hope we can get a ride in with a few others in the future.
  14. Looks like its just me and Mike (CharlesUFarley) going this weekend.....anyone else heading out?
  15. Good point, the last thing I want to do is dig out...I wonder how crowded it will be if at all Thurs morning. May just drive around and see what looks decent
  16. Soft sand doesn't worry me, I pulled my 37' 5th wheel back into the dunes in Glamis...what really scares me is my wifes wrath if I don't deliver sand for the kids
  17. Appreciate the invite but I will have hell to pay if I camp in a spot with rocks....I have 3 yr old twins and they need sand to play in. We will def come by and meet up for a ride! A buddy of mine said that we should camp more towards the edge of the dunes to get less rocks. I think he was saying section A-1... Thoughts?
  18. How many trailers in your group? As of right now we will be two 5th wheels and a pull behind...
  19. I am thankful for my twins that took 5 years to get and are turning 3 next week I am thankful for the dunes and that I have been lucky enough not to get seriously hurt I am thankful that my sand car is finally ready to go after having to pretty much rebuild the entire thing I am thankful that I know the guy that sold me this sand car will "get his" since carma is a b****!
  20. That would be sweet to go on a group ride with a couple Dumont veterans!
