What weekend will be your first trip of the season for 2014/15?
DuNe~Rydher replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Happenings
I'm in for sure, just got the quad put back together today with a fresh top end, going to duck creek this weekend but need a sand day to test it before a long weekend! -

We'll prob go out the weekend before as well. I def need to do an early morning quick trip before hand to test out the bike after the motor rebuilt this summer. -
Update for anyone interested. My truck passed smog today "with flying colors" said the guy. I won't be posting on a public forum what state my truck was in or where I took it but if you're in the same boat as I was in and would like some info PM me.
-
putting my programmer back to stock is easy, it's spending half a day under my truck in 100 degree heat putting my stock exhaust back on that is a PAIN. Got an address I can use?

Thanks for the info. Not plugging into the OBD is great news, I should pass the opacity test I don't run tunes that smoke at all. Sounds like a legit spot Terry thanks ill give em a shot. Pete, do they just visually look under the hood or do they look underneath to see if the CAT, NOX and DPF filters are on? Adam I don't blame you I felt the sale way. PMing you..

Hey guys, i've looked around on the web and can't find exactly what i'm looking for, I guess I could call a shop but it's an excuse to start a new thread and maybe find out where the best place is to go. Here's my Q.. I own a 2012 Cummins that isn't exactly stock and will not pass smog in its current set up. I have to smog for the first time since I purchased it next month and am looking for exactly what they do to smog these things. I know they put em on rollers and do a visual under the hood..but do they hook up to your OBDII port? I'm just trying to figure out how far back to stock I need to go...if not all the way. Also, good and bad experiences at shops around the vegas area? Thanks in advance guys.

2007 yfz 450 64hp $10k in upgrades
DuNe~Rydher replied to Vegasjames's topic in ATV's/ Motorcycles for sale
how long have you been trying to sell this? I feel like ive seen it on craigslist consistently for like a year. (maybe a little exaggeration, but quite a while none the less) -
Most crowded ive seen it last couple years any holiday. Sand was't that bad though in my opinion thanks to the windy nights and mornings. The sand was WAY worse new years! it was a little warm out there! Ran the AC a bit in the hauler. was down right hot today on our one and only run before we packed up and headed out around sun down. The road was dragged and wet down on the way out which was nice.

Anyone have info on lifting a 2013 F-250?
DuNe~Rydher replied to Adam @ GTP Off Road's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
I would run 35's over 37's. cost a lot less, and less rotating mass = a little better mileage. I have a 2012 cummins, stripped of all the emissions, piped, and custom tuned and its a beast. you seem stuck on Ford so I won't try to sway you away lol. But when you talk lifts, you get what you pay for as far as ride quality goes. Carli, Thuren, Pure performance are 3 companies that make nice progressive rate coils. And shocks, I went Bilstein 5100's. best bang for your buck. Keep in mind you'll most likely need air bags as well depending on how big your new toy hauler is going to be. I had to bag my truck when I lifted it. I tow a 32ft tow behind weekend warrior. If you are even a little mechanically inclined, which i'm guessing you are...you can buy all the parts and lift your own truck in your driveway or your shop and save $. Good look bro. oh, get some gages and a pyro installed in your exhaust manifold before you start towing real heavy so you can monitor your exhaust gas temps and not melt your head. Newly and Underground Diesel can hook you up. -
Accident at comp saturday night, Prez Day weekend
DuNe~Rydher replied to White Rhino's topic in Dumont Happenings
I'm glad you're both ok, I saw it happen it was pretty violent. On a side note to this accident, did anyone else that saw the aftermath of this notice how HORRIBLE the law is at driving!? I watched a law man in a rail roll up to the accident from the right, went up above but didn't come stright down at the wreched rail like you're suppose to when you want to stop on a hill...instead he STOPPED compeltly sideways on the hiil directly above the downed rail. He then proceeded to slide downhill sideways, I thought for sure he was going to roll right into the people trying to help. I watched probably 2 other people do this. plus the poor family members friend cut the wheel while hauling in reverse and rolled. Im glad everyone involved is ok. if you're trying to help some one...good on ya. but be safe doing it, don't cause another accident! -
That would be awesome great. Transitioning from active duty AF to civilian life (and new job) mid feb so it'll be sketchy. I think ill be working 4 on 3 off though so I may be able to make it work. if I can, i'm there for sure. I realize ive never really introduced myself so i'll go do that in the proper section. keep ya updated!

Did you pick it up here in Vegas or drive out of state? I've been eye balling them for a while and doin a little research on where to get the best deal. Just curious, thanks!

Im putting the knobbies on the quad and bringing the paddles, headed out in a couple hours!

Dumont current conditions- WET *update: drying out
DuNe~Rydher replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Happenings
^^ yes. Heading out WED morning. Not even considering not going. Even if the sand is tore up, I'd rather be riding in crappy sand on knobbies, deep frying a turkey, watching my daughter learn how to ride around camp, and laughing with the family around the fire than sitting on my bum at home for 4 days. I love riding, but just being out there and getting out of Vegas is half of it for me! -
How's the weather out there?
-
I'm hoping to see a couple RZR xp4 1000's out there. Since expanding the family my wife wants one. (I'm not complaining) probably not going to happen until next season but I'd love to see one in action!
