I came from so. cal. to play in your backyard, thanks for grooming the dunes so nice (perfect). oh and the entry road. on the road out of baker 2 leos passed me, and I have a tradition at entry road, say a prayer and pop 1 beer. x 4 people. heres comes leo driving up, stashed beers. he asked if we were ok. yes just streting after 6 hour drive. he actually stopped at lil Dumont and hardly anyone had a pass. I guess there was an article in newspaper in vegas "free camping at little dunes" he was real cool got his name it was officer Wilcox. after all the stories I have reading lately just wanted to share a good story. by the way adam nice pics. thanks guys.

awsum trip, great weather virgin dunes Friday morning, killer sunsets. pretty much had the place to our selves. met some ddr guys at comp hill. and watched a tri wing plane buzz our camp powered by a vw motor. I have seen lots of things but never have I seen a volkswagon fly. it was my 52nd birthday had 30 people in camp, got to ride a stage 4 banshee and multiple rides in the bosses quick sand car. as near perfect as perfect gets.

mlk report. just wanted to say Friday am, virgin dunes. best ride ever. nice meeting you pete, and the guy with sik buckshot car (really bad at names) at comp hill. probably last trip, got some nascar coming up.

I have read all this several times, and lord knows we all spend a ton of money on this fun habit. it seems these city slickers don't have a clue to what this sport costs. im totally ok with the fees as long as there put to good use. the reason I don't go to glamis is because of these badge toteing yahoos. this is our public land and without us they don't have a job. I say we hit them up in force at this years sand sport show, (they have a booth down there) and see whats up their a$$. this all started with diane Feinstein, she chased away all the desert races because of a tortoise, ive been racing and riding 40 years and never seen a tortoise. ive been going to Dumont since 95 and I have seen the decline in numbers, I thought it was the economy, but now im secong guessing myself. I only give what I get that's my motto, you give me tude you will get it back. when I read that a lot of you don't want to do this anymore it breaks my heart. we have to stand up to them or they will completely strip us of our rights and dignity. god bless America.

I have a 40ft weekend warrior full throttle with 16" wheels. triple axle, I sucked it up and went with the Michelin ribs about 265.00 a piece x 7 it is actually a : rated tire. went down a knotch from the e rating. what a dream tire you wont be sorry. special order from sams club. ps. you have to take the wheels off your trailer, they don't wrench on rvs

merry Christmas everyone. im new here, I guess Christmas came early for me. hanging out at Dumont over thanksgiving great weather, great new friends what a blast. you see my wife is in a longterm alcoholic rehab have not seen her since 2nd week in November, ouch. wanted to make it out to the dunes next week, but money is kinda tight. so skipping Christmas this year, I still have the little boy spirit, but no fun by yourself. 2014 we will be back, this going to the dunes once a year sucks. but its a long haul from so cal. will be there next thanksgiving, and hopefully more then one time. happy new year everyone

parked on bluff north of vendor row, drove past sheriffs compound only to see a couple water trucks. did not unload bikes till following morning. did not hear a thing about this, thanks buddies for taking care of one another. we are out there in the middle of no where, we must lookout for one another, I have got lost out there a couple times. I also suggest a very strong marker light for homebase, im sure you all saw mine

cant wait, trip has been planned since I left there last year. and they say more rain on the way.
