Lets see if this will qualify: This was a long time ago, was out with a buddy late one night having fun. We were hitting this dirt (farm) road beside the pavement at a decent speed. A pretty tight little curve came up on us and wouldn't you know a damn deer jumped out in front of me. Tried to swerve a little and the front tire caught a rut and flipped it 2 and half times and came down on the pavement on it's top. Slid across the pavement into a little bankment. I was thrown half way out on one of the turns and it pushed me across the pavement. In that little runoff a little tree about 3 inches in diameter stopped it from rolling over one more time. Would have snapped my back like a pretzel. We were about a half mile from any house and my buddy ran to it to call for help. The way the truck was laying, took them about 30 minutes to get me out. Result: totaled truck, broken clavicle, broken scapula, broken nose, almost 40 stitches different area's and really sore for quit sometime. Almost didn't let me in the Corps, I was bummed. Missed my ship date until the end of summer, so I could heal enough to go. Here's a couple pics of the truck, couldn't get any at the scene as I was still inside. Pete, Those pics of your ride home are great, to be out duning in short sleeve's during the day and drive back home thru that, gotta love this place....

Got back and unloaded, traffic wasn't to bad. Had a great weekend out there, better I think without the big crowd. Meet a few more people and had a fun time. Yeah, it was a little smokey, set off the fire alarm. Didn't really see any the other night though, Maybe a little, but it smelled like something was burning. If your out next weekend, I'll try it again, and take it to the shop after the trip if I have too. Hope it's just the paint and newness thing though. I'll have a space heater with next weekend though for sure....Semper Fi, Woody

Glad you got it fixed for the weekend, sorry about the reach around..... That really sucks.... Have my own heater question also. Turned mine on (1st time) last weekend and it was fine, about 3 minutes later, my smoke detector starts going off, I turn off the heater and look at it, seems fine. My buddy said his did the same thing 1st time he used it. Froze my a** off that night. I was just messing around outside yesterday, thought I would try it again, did the same thing. I don't see anything burning in there, but some smoke comes out and sets off the detector. Any ideas or has this happend to anyone else here? If it's normal for the 1st time, should I let it run a little longer? Worse case scenerio, I'll get a space heater for next weekend and take it to the shop before heading to Fla.
