so do you think they watch or check everbody that put their name in the drawing? And were does the crook statement come from. I would think they had a lock box so nobody could mess with the entry slips. Come on, they admitted their mistake and did another drawing. so I don't know what the big beef is.

Costco for tire deals, but keep in mind if you go with a lower rated tire than it came with from the factory most places won't mount it up for you. R u taking about load and speed rating? I'll get a least the same load rating i have now or higher, since i'll be getting a TH. i've checked on some BFG that are around 3k + load rating.

I believe that's what size i'll be getting. I checked out a few web sites and that's what most peeps end up going with, that don't do a lot of other mods. I don't want to have to trim bumber, wheel wells ect. I might have the bars cranked to level it out. now to find a good price, and a place to crank the bars. I don't know if discount tires, big o or other places like that do the torsion bar crank. probably looking at checking out prices at extreme auto on gibson & 215 or 4 wheel parts. Has anybody ever delt with these places? and are there any other places that would do the bars?

I thought about that too. but since I didn't have a compressor or a tire gage, i didn't want to drop down the pressure. I also need to get used to the power of the diesel compared to the 5.3 i had in my 03. On my 03 1500 4x4, i had stock tires on it. I pulled a 16 ft enclosed trailer loaded up with quads and gear, and never even spun a tire in the sand. Heck, i even pulled my motor home out of the sand with the trailer hooked up and didn't spin a tire. I will keep a tire gage in the truck from now on though.

Took new truck to dumont last friday. Did great on the hwy. Was pulling a 16 ft utility trailer with 2 quads, dirtbike and gear. we parked about 50 yards from the entrance to comp/banshee hill. When we got ready to leave, had a hard time getting moving. had to go back and forth about 3x. about 20 ft in each direction, before we got moving good. we had it in 4 hi. it felt like the tires were hopping, you know that chattering sound. it came stock with 245/75r/16's. was thinking about some 285/85r/16's. I aint got the cash to buy new wheels, or do a lift, that's why I'm staying with 16's. anybody got ideas what brands r good, good tire place ect. I'll be getting a toy hauler ( 26 ft) in near future. I don't think i'll be able to get around at the dunes, (dumont amargosa) with the tires i have now. Thanks in advance

My son And I were out there just for friday. Got there about 2pm. A couple of other guys from carter powersport were there too. I bet there wasn't 30 peeps there. We went just to dial in new front suspension on 06 450r. It's a + 2 with elka triple rate shocks. what a difference. We took the new diesel truck out for it's 1st dune trip. Was getting around 14 mpg, at 75 mph. we were pulling a 16 ft utiltiy trailer with 2 quads, dirt bike and some gear. we went the baker way. came up the grade out of state line at 75 mph, never shifted outa 6th. great truck.

going to dumont with my son and a couple of other peeps. we're leaving fri morn, my son has to work sat & sun, so he's heading back fri night, and coming back sun around 4 pm. will stay until early afternoon on mon. taking tue off work.

Just bought a 07 2500HD. The dealer were I bought it has an accessory dept that deals mostly in aftermarket add ons. they're trying to sell me the Triple Dog diesel downloader. it's made by Bully dog. I asked if it would void the warranty. they say no. cause if anything starts to go wrong , the program shuts down. they said if I had some warranty issues, just put it back to stock configuration, and no one would be the wiser. Can't the dealer tell if the engine performance had been changed when they hook it up for diagonistics. Don't know if I really need this upgrade, as it seems to have all the power I need. I haven't gotten a toy hauler yet, so as far as towing one, don't know how it would perform. The toy hauler i'm looking at is a 26 ft tow behind. I think it's 7k + dry weight. Any advice would be appreciated.

I work for the city of Henderson, so i checked out schedule today on the cities intranet. They have tech inspections starting around 4 pm fri. it is on water street, in front of city hall. they have a new event plaza there. I'll be there fri. i'll be checking out the vendor booths looking for anything free they hand out. like stickers,t-shirts and such. Heck, i'll probably even head out to the race sat, even though the have an early start of 6 am.

I haven't personelly seen any of these kiddie tracks at dumont. But at amargosa they're everywere. Some 5-6' deep. Some r right in one of the main camping areas. Ur truck could get swallowed up in them. I hate em.

Know what u mean Chase, That's how I broke my colar bone last Thanksgivivng. Last weekend at Amargosa, I had a couple of beers around 2 pm saturaday, didn't even go back out riden at all, just waited till sunday morn.

This weekend at dumont, turned on water pump to use the bathroom. I usually just leave pump on all weekend. About 20 minutes later, i was walking around motorhome and notice water running out around door for filling up tank and city water hookup. opened door. and found water coming out of hose connection. i had lost about 1/2 tank of water. I then hooked up a hose to hook-up and put it in a water can i always bring for extra water. I haven't had time to check it out yet, but I firgure there's got to be a check valve in the system somewere. anybody have any ideas?

yea, was pretty crowded. Weather was great mid 80's during the day, and when i got up yesterday morn it was 60. just a light breeze most of the time. Has to repair lose wire on 06 450. battery wasn't charging friday night. then our little dog wondered off friday night around 9. looked all around, checked camps around us. no luck. Went to rangers camp sat morning and someone turned her in. Guess we were lucky. I asked them if the people who turned her left there name or something. They didn't. They said it was a mom and daughter that turned her in, and they said there's only about 20k-30K of them there. LOL. If who ever turned her in, I thank you very much. my son took some pics and video's but can't find them. Sorry

got back last night. was planning on staying till today, but a guy that was with my son & I hurt his leg on his dirt bike. A guy thay works with my son came by as we we're getting ready to leaveand told us about the sand rail crash. I understand there was 2 guys in the rail, and both we friends of this guy. Don't know much more than that. yes, our prayers are with their family and friends.

I was on my home from work today, I ride a 750 honda shadow. I was heading north on 95, between boulder hwy and charleston. I was in the middle lane. All of a sudden there's this F150 on my right, came out of nowhere. he was right on the bumper of the car in front of him. I seen him put his left turn signal on. there was no way this guy was going to get in my lane was there, i was right beside him, even with his door. I could see him keep looking over to see were I was. I couldn't slow down cause there was a car right on my tail. then all of a sudden he made the lane switch, he missed my front tire by less than a foot. now he was boxed in cars to his left and right. so I move over to the left side of the lane, and give him the old I know what ur IQ is (1). Next thing u know, down comes his window and he throws out a cup full of coke and ice. luckilly he missed me. So now I slow down some as I want no part of this guy. heck he might have a gun or something. Then another truck pulls up to my left. I look over and he's montioning me to go after him and they'll be right with me. By this time we're by the eastern exit. I keep looking for him but i can't find him. Probably better I couldn't. But I did get his lic #. A friend of mine knows a cop so maybe I can get the guys address and pay a visit to his house with the paintball gear.

I usually go to dumont for halloween, thanksgiving, and prez day weekends. I'll slip in a few others too, like the drags we had a few weeks ago. i go to armagosa in between dumont trips. i'm off every fri- sun, my son is off thurs & fri. so most of the time we go to armagosa so he can go up and back on fridays. it's a shorter drive too, since i life in north vegas
