rhino electrical issue.
high octane junkie replied to high octane junkie's topic in Side x Side Talk
yes.. i've had a few items installed on it as follows: black rhino performance 500 watt stator & rectifier. dynatek cdi box. trinity racing full exhaust. hardstyle k&n filter kit. i do not have a repair manual with a wiring diagram, as it wouldn't do me any good. i can handle pretty much anything on a machine except for electrical applications. it ran fine with these modifications before that night. it needs to be checked out by someone who's motivated and not by someone who's employed by a dealership who'll just want to replace everything on it and take six months doing it. b370.. you sound confident that you'd be able to diagnose it and/or fix my problem. if you're available sometime in the next couple days i'd appreciate if you can take some time to look at it. i'd be more than willing to compensate you for your time. thanks brother. -
definitely. i swing by all of the booth's a couple times, sometimes more. i'm a very fast mover.. i think my gf gets excited about going just for the exercise heh.

i appreciate it, but i'd rather have someone trustworthy come here and diagnose it. i don't trust the dealerships. are there any forum members good with diagnosing electrical? -
i'll be there. made my reservation last month at the doubletree in santa ana right off macarthur blvd adjacent to the freeway. there's a restaurant in there that has the best filet. i'll be attending the super show on saturday. i look forward to it every year.

there are two 30 amp fuses, similar to what's in your interior fuse panel in your car, inside the battery box compartment. i've tried to trace the wires. one looks like it may go to the 4wd activator switch. yea.. it's under warranty however i purchased it at world yamaha on boulder highway and if i go down there i might get myself re-incarcerated for choking someone out there, sorry. also.. my gf called down there and they said it'd be a month before they can get to it and the stereo shop should have my stuff ready to install sometime this week. -

it was popping fuses while it was running, at a stand still. yesterday i jumped started it because the batery is completely dead. when i turned on the lights @ high beam.. it died. i jumped it again and let it run to charge the battery and eventually it just died. never popped a fuse at all. i have no idea what's going on. the battery has no juice, it's probably defective because it was ran down completely dead, but what ran it down and why? i gotta get this thing going to drop it off at the stereo shop and to run it soon, etc. i'm completely clueless. -
i'm completely clueless when it comes to electrical. my rhino, 2006 se purchased mid june this year, has an electrical issue that i can't figure out. at night drags it started popping fuses (changed fuses five times in four hours) and when i got back to town i changed fuses again. there must be a short somewhere because it has ran the battery completely dead. the battery won't take a charge or something isn't charging it? i dunno. anyway, this is the issue i have. are there any forum members that can help? i really don't wanna take it to any shops.. my mechanic, dan clifton, is in the hospital as most of you probably know, and i don't trust another shop to work on my stuff. are there any forum members with the knowledge and tools necessary to determine/fix the problem? i live in the green valley area, near gv high school. i have cash, too (which usually helps.) reply in this thread please, i'll respond with my contact information. thanks for your time and ride on!

i drop my trash off at home. i don't drink and we only stay out two days max so it's not much. but i know if i did bring alot of trash home, our lazy a$$ trash collectors won't pick it up. i should've been a garbage man... you can choose which/how trash to discard apparently.

when i first pulled up to the hill, the area in which i parked was littered with beer bottles and cans. a couple of them broken. we picked them up and put them in the back of a friends truck bed but i was astonished as it was still daylight. i got into it with some folks on the planetsand website once because of littering at bwIII. it seems the litterers were so well respected that they weren't at any fault. we gotta speak up at bwIV and impose our will on these people. they're glamis regulars and visit dumont occasionally for events.

there were two of them out there with a glowstick, one clearly faster than the other. i'm pretty sure i know which one was the 350, and it's quick. my gf's 376 won't keep up with it, but she's running stock carbs, stock ignition, and it weighs 400 lbs. it dunes really nice though.

yes. a blue banshee duner with baby blue frame and alotta "bling" heh. it's a powerhouse built 485 cheetah. i was riding my gf's banshee for awhile too. it looks similar to mine except silver body with baby pink frame. it's a 376. i could outrun anything piped on that bike but anything modified much more than that i was toast. mine is 100 rwh, hers is 70 rwh. look forward to runnin' with you folks again.

i lost a couple last night. the only times i lost were when my bike was nearing the end of being hot-lapped (right around the seventh or eighth pass) and i had been roll-started on. the bikes i couldn't run with (and i never lined up with) were the drag chassis shee's. there was one with a green glowstick on the rear. imo the fastest bike out there. there were a couple shee's in a drag chassis actually. i got to beat the really big guy on the yellow stretched shee. i've been waiting all summer for that. couldn't get him to line up with me last year.
