figzchic
Rockinfigz & I are heading to Vegas this weekend. Been many many times however trying to venture away from 'habit' & are looking for really good places to eat that aren't associated w/ the hotels on the strip... We like all sorts of food and are open to any suggestions anyone may have! Thought what a better to place to go to for advice then the DDR website since alot of DDR people are from Vegas. Thanks much! Any suggestions would be appreciated!
dunefreak
If you like good wings and pizza, BALBOA PIZZA in the District at Green Valley Ranch is the shiz! Other than that, I heard Panevino is really good for Italian , but I STILL haven't checked it out yet. Other good places: Bahama Breeze on Flamingo, China Grill in Mandalay Bay, White Chocolate Grill..... That's all that comes to mind right now. In N Out Burger? Sandmom
Try King's Fish House at the District in Green Valley. Can get pricey but the sea food can't be beat (at least not in the desert. They also have a great chocolate vodka martini !!!!!

desertskyz
^^^^^^^^ If you happen to be in Henderson, PT's on Horizon and Horizon has the best burgers in town. Or while your up here Warrior07 claims he's the King of Smoking Ribs. Stop by this house, I'm sure he'll be smokin' something. EY3BA11
Buca De Peppo is good for italian as well and is on flamingo just east of the strip if i remember right.. flamingo or trop one of the 2. I like chain style chinese so pei wei is one of my favorites for that.. Cant go wrong with anything at the district. I have also had wolf gang pucks cafe deal at the venitian.. its $$$$ but had to have been the best $40 pork chop i have ever eaten ( wife had gift cards from her work for b-day gift so didnt cost us squat ). Top of the world at the stratosphere is excellent too just $$$$ as well.. There is a place in downtown "something" Cellar i hear is excellent if your looking for a romantic style dinner. Nothing to write home about IMHO. For a big decent meal Claimjumpers is a good deal and lots of good food! (big servings) Wish I knew of a good Thai too. My all time favorites "Tipps" had to shut down two places due to the economy. It was buffet style and the food was incrediable! There is a little thai place on 4th street right down by the Fremont Street Experience called Thai Vegas I believe, but they have good food. There is another Thai place, cant think if the name, on Las Vegas Blvd between Charleston and Oakey on the east side of the street if its still there that is really good. :mischevious: There is a nice $$ steak house on the top floor of Binions that I heard was really good, but I never been there. Hugos and Binions steak house are the top 2 places to eat downtown. Anywhere in Green Valley Ranch is great.
wingnut
We tried the White Chocolate Grill last night (off of Eastern/215). Really good food. Not too bad on the pocketbook either. Nice place. :mischevious:
dunefreak
White Chocolate Grill and Cheesecake factory are both good as far as food, but everytime we've been there we had pretty chitty service.
sandrash1
hey guys..how about a good thai restaurant? also has anyone been to memphis bbq place?? heard its good Ditto on Lucille's BBQ. Try Thai Spice at Flamingo and Arville and right next to Thai Spice is an great little Italian place called Pasta Mia. The best sports bar food we have had here is at The Boulevard bar and grill across the street from the South Coast Hotel and Casino on LVBLD South. I take customers their once at least once a week and seems like the entire menu is awesome.
