While I personally didn't vote for him. I hope this president can bail us out. Thus making it easier to get back the toys and houses some lost in this mess. I had moved to avoid some of this. Recently I looked at my old neighborhood and found more than a few loosing their houses. Surprised to see the ones who had the most toys have lost their home(s) to foreclosure(s) and the ones who had enough to get by in life are holding their homes at the momment at least. Maybe this is a lesson to watch our spending weather we work for it or it's a lotto/vegas give away.

Thanks for the vent

also one BIG reason its going to get EVEN uglier before it gets better.

ALLOT of folks are saying well sh*t I owe more than my house is worth so I'm dumping it.

ALLOT of things happen then, WE pick up that tab, and the dumper  can't buy a house for a long time(nor should they!)

Also might I mention property values continue to slide, loss of taxes etc etc etc.

What  is trying to pass is a law making it MUCH harder to just walk away, you signed the f*cking papers live up to it!!!!

RANT OVER

OK now back to your regularly scheduled program :loser::dunno:

I agree. Its those people who bought their RV's and sand rails and what not on a second or third loan on the house and now they are walking away. I also think if you have a ton of toys with a "x" value you shouldn't be able to walk away. Those people will have a hard time in BK court with all the toys. Honestly, it's a mess and it will get worse before it gets better.

I honestly think he will make a difference in the long run. But I think everyone has to buckle down and make some sacrifices before it can get better. As they say, it will get worse before it gets better, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. There HAS to be some type of change. Obviously, the way the government has run this country for the past oh.....30 or so years, isn't working!!! People can't expect miracles!!! I can't stand it when peeps b*tch about the current state of affairs and then have NO resolution. What do you expect??? There is no magic wand to make things better after years and years of poor decisions on the government's part. It takes time and work and everyone has to participate, rich or poor.

Time will tell..... Ok...that's my .02!

Not only does the government need to change but the people do as well. The over spending has to be cut down.

im not baggin on you here Crasher, so please dont take it that way

i feel its not the people of this nation that needs to buckle down...its the leaders....and here's why

how do things get taken care of financially is through taxes. taxes come from us, the citizens...if you have noticed in the last 30 years...taxes have gone through the roof, yet the financial situation in the country has gone down the toilet.

the govt automatically takes it from us, so, imo, its on the govt...we BLINDLY hand over our taxes with little or no expectations, and our whores, errrrrrrrrrrrr politicians spend it how they see fit

the change needs to come in the form of fiscal responsibility by our govt....set the freekin example, so that the citizenry can follow suit

rant off

I agree with you Cheese, that it has to start from the top. There have to be major changes in the way the government/politicians run this country, but in the end, I think we ALL have to change the way we do things in order for things to happen for good, not just temporarily for a "fix". I know that the economy runs in cycles, up and down, but it seems to be getting worse every time we go "down". We can't blame politicians for all of it. Afterall, we the people define the economy, good or bad, so everyone (mostly politicians or "whores" as you call them, lol) needs to make some major changes in the way spend our money. It's just going to take longer than what most U.S. citizens want, because we are in a world of hurt right now. It will get better though, I do beleive that.

Sooo.....no offense taken Cheese, not at all. Now go EABD (or however you say that)!!! Do we have a smiley for that yet????

Some thing don't sound right here. What's the rant about people who have toys ? I have toys and my house still. I'm one of 3 people on my street that do have toys-rv-etc. But we are also the very few that did'nt over extend ourselves and are some of the originals in the hood . The people on my street that have foreclosed counting :whoop: 10 - 12 houses did'nt have toys just bought when it was high and in a stupid loan.

It does'nt have anything to do with having toys it's got to do with how you manage your money and bills. If people would have read what they were signing they could have done something about it before it got outta of control and ballooned on them ! JUST SAYIN :driver:

In any calculations, there is always the exception to the rule. I was only pointing out what I personally saw. Not an opinion. So, it does sound right. My statement stands. Its not an attack with people who have "toys" is just pointing out, IMHO people used their equity in their houses like a check book to buy things. Sure, you can blame the 1% interest loans. But again, how many saw their $600 house payment and then went and bought a new car, toy hauler, etc? Then what happen? That $600 became $2500! Again, if your one of the few who still only has a first original mortgage. Still has their house, etc. I solute you! For the rest, I hope people cut down a little, government steps in and helps on interests, etc. So we can all get out of this mess.

Buy the way, thanks for the warm welcome

I could not agree more. From the local radio to the tv news. It's about his color. Look at the news people who interview him. Colored. Sad. I have nothing bad to say because he is black. Really. I just wish the focus was more on how he is going to help than he is black and his mom came from Africa. So I say....Hopefully this presidentwill help us out.....

:ynot: I think you meant to say inauguration. Nothing he does will be right in your opinion, and that's your opinion.. everybody has one, some better then others. I take offense to your racial slurs and you don't know who they could effect. So If you could keep your racist opinons to yourself it would be appreciated.

couldnt resist.

i dont like the fact that:

he is a socialist

spent 150Mil on his inauguration

he is against gun owners

his views are skued on the military, the war

it took him 7 years to visit the troops, and he only did it because McCain busted him out.

and gawd only knows what he will do next.

personally i belive he is the antichrist. honestly id rather have clinton (bill) back if there was going to be a Dem in office..

Grow some thicker skin...............if you are offended, that's your problem. Don't read what I write, because I will not do anything to get your appreciation.

And to clarify my statement, because "Mr. Sensative" thinks I am a racist. I hope he does do good. I hope he "changes" what he said he would. :70: Now...for the realism of it. ITS NOT HIM!!!!! IT'S THE PARTY HE IS WITH. I do not believe in all the other issue's the democrat's want to apply. Like Nachoooooooooo said about gun control and the Military issue's. The democrats are behind the entire housing market crash. Did you know that??? :MBdance: But, I am not going to sit here and bleed out my stance on things, because it is a deadend subject. :ynot:

Watch the video, "Mr. Sensative" so you may understand the frustration of this guy actually getting elected.

dems and republicans both had a hand in this. deal with it, peeps. our system of gumint is BROKEN!....being elected to ANY office brings opportunity to take bribe money from lobbyists at the top, all the way down to local gubmint positions. they get money for voting one way or another, paid off by wall street fat cats. when laws aren't enforced, the system breaks down. who was it said government can't give to someone without taking from someone? this is all gonna end badly, folks. our country is now run by monkeys, and the only way to get em out is when we all take up pitchforks and torches. sad that not enough are cold and hungry yet to make it happen, but it will happen. on the bright side, the dunes aren't nearly as crowded these days. shoulda sold that house and rented when they were priced at triple in 04-05. a pack of cubscouts coulda figgered that one out. prices will revert back to the mean. if anyone cares to know, home prices will be at year 2000 levels before this is over with. if we have a depression(likely) they will overshoot to the downside. if you want to know whats coming do a google on housing bubble.....calculated risk....doctor housing bubble. .....the president has one chance at this and he better get it right from the git go... and he better start having frog marches for the people responsible. the list is long. o.k....off my soapbox and back to watching american idol or dancing with the stars or flip this house or....................

Yeah I do think your a racist. Is it right to think that way? No. Do I think that will change? No.. Do I give a shiat if you are? No.. Just keep your opinons on that issue off a public forum where younger ppl might be reading. It does nothing but degrade ppl... but hopefully they consider the source and pay no attention. I'm not being "Mr. Sensative" just trying to protect a few ppls opionion of the off road community and this board. Say what you want about obama... but no need for the racial slurs.

I agree, let's keep the racial stuff to a minimum guys. I know maxdout (and a few others including myself) like joking like that from time to time :MBdance: , but when we are talking "serious" about political stuff...it's not the place fo racial jokes if we wanna have adult conversations about this stuff.

His color or ethnic background doesn't have chit to do with his position as president so we really shouldn't even be bringing that up, let alone making racial jokes.

Now back to your regularly scheduled political thread.... :beerpint::ynot:
