right now im running a 7 paddle stock swing arm and the front end still comes up easily. im converting my quad to alky and going to run a 9 paddle with a 7 over swing arm. question is, untill i convert from gas to alky would there be a problem running the gearing im currently running with the longer swing arm and taller, more paddles. thanks :headbang1::beercheers:

Well first we need to know what bike and whats done to it and current gearing.

With the longer swing arm you will get less traction seeing how there is less weight over the tires, but going to 9 paddle you will make up for that. you will most likely have to re-gear for those paddles no matter what.

What kind of of paddles are you running now and what ones will you be running? Im guessing 9 paddle extremes (buffed?)

I know someone selling some 9 paddle paddle brats that are shaved to the corded, almost new for under 200 bucks.

its a suzuki lt500 ported pipe basic stuff that can be done to these quads. i was running 21-12-8 7 paddle extremes sl with 14-41 gearing. the new paddles are 22-11-8 9 paddle extreme sl. the motor pulled it up the hill fine and still luanched hard actually i could luanch harder if i had a longer swinger. so thats why im extending and adding paddles.
