eli
need your help .. k what air filter should i buy for my rzr s 2009 all i do is dumont dunes baby!!thanks........... I run a BTI Semi Sealed on my 08. It's $$$ and the UTM is cheaper. No cutting required with the BTI which is also sold by Dragonfire with their name on it. I don't like the idea of the vented model and don't need the waterproof one. Dragonfire is supposed to have a mount that connects the can to the engine and not the frame. Although I never had a problem (I did change the hose clamp) and your S likely has a lip and bellows to help prevent the tube (hose) from coming off the thottle body it happened alot on the 08's as the engine flexed in the frame. It's also easy to go back to stock..PM me if you don't know why you would do that. Both use a Donalson paper filter inside the can. So cleaning is easy just tap it on something hard a few times and blow it out when you have a compressor. Regardless of which filter you use CLEAN IT EVERY NIGHT. Check the tube and the thottle body for dust when you clean the filter. You are not going to be different if you wait till you get home, IT WILL be top end time. Do something soon as RZR's suck dust.... the new filter, the lip and the bellows just seem to be Polaris band-aids to me. Eli

I forgot the most important thing if you have dust in the stock airbox, tube and thottlebody. Take pictures you'll need them. Eli

Free Agent
I use the K&N and have had great results with our Rzr and our Rzr S. Grease (with the included grease) the flange and use a radiator clamp so it fits real snug. Clean it after every trip. The paper filter is just asking for trouble in the sand. wingnut
UMP hands down, without a doubt. Support a site vendor and go see Mark at Performance Rhino. Thats where I got mine. A little on the spendy side but well worth it!!!!!!
