With some simple tools, you should be able to trace what wires are what. Red is usually power, Yellow is usually power when the hauler is switched on, black obcourse is ground. blue is usually the power for a power antena. The dual color wires are your speakers. If you find any double solid black or silver wires that are thicker than others, those might be RCA connections for a sub amplifier. Hope this helps.

No color matching what so ever. Last i looked a few grey whites and i think one black with a chit load of speaker wires that go to a switch board for selecting front to back and outside but the board isn't labeled. I was hoping to be abled to get together with someone in the vegas area that would be willing to pull the radio out so i could see where the eff they all go ! :beerpint:

I have put a few stereo systems in trailers and the wiring is ALWAY screwed! What so confusing is the speaker wires. 1st hook up your power and grnd then antenna. take a speaker + and - from the deck and start testing one by one till you get them figured out. Also the speaker switch will screw you up so keep that in mind if @ first you cant find any sound.Good luck......... be patient!

  • 4 weeks later...

I have the same problem, mine was stolen and i'm looking at all the lose wires. I've got 4 speaker wires, 2 reds, one green and one yellow that aren't hooked up. Easy way to test spekers is get a D cell batery stick one end on +/- and you'll hear a faint sound.
