The purpose of the operation was to apprehend those individuals who appeared in traffic court on citations for being unlicensed drivers and who then drove away from the court while still unlicensed. As a result of this enforcement operation, six vehicles were impounded and seven drivers were issued citations for being unlicensed. The goal of this operation was to bring those individuals who drive without a license into compliance with the law and to reduce the number of collisions involving unlicensed drivers in our community. Funding for this operation was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. dumb zzzz
