Randog
any new news on when he should be released so he can get back to his family. Well Jon, The migraine headaches he has had for the last few days are being caused by fluid leaking from his spine. If he sits up (which he wants to do more than anything right now) the fluid leaks more and causes the headaches. So he's forced to stay laying down for now. He's taking meds to help stop the leak. If that doesn't work they will do some kind of plug. Then surgery will be the last resort on stop the leak. We're hoping for next week to transport him to Socal. Time will tell. Until they can stop that leaking they will not release him. His spirits are still as high as possible. Man my bro is tough. The care, prayers, and visits from all of you are priceless. Thank you all for your support for Grimace. R-

I've got some movies he can watch too. Let me know as I am going out today and could drop it off at the Hospital for him!!!
Randog
Here's an Update: Grimace was feeling a lot better today. His headaches are less intense. We're hoping the fluid is blocked or at least minimal leakage. Word is that they may transport him down to a rehab hospital near our home area on Sunday morning. We're all praying that everything goes as planned. Thanks for the DVD offer SchnoopDiggitySandawgyDawg. Very thoughtful bro. I actually haven't spoke with Chris since you and I spoke. If he's headed down the hill on Sunday I'm sure he won't need your player. K mANg? I'll keep ya posted, R-

dunefreak
Nick & I saw Chris on Thurs night. He told us about the spinal fluid leakage issue and that was a lil set back. Glad to hear the headaches are getting better though! We were gonna go visit him last night but he said he had a tough day and a rough night. Hopefully he feels better today and this weekend he improves so he can at least be transported down to his hood. That would be awesome. Randog
Hey randog, Ill give you a call. there is an easy fix for these spinal headaches. After one of my back surgeries I had a spinal cord headache. The most brutal thing ive ever gone through. was flat on my back for 10 days. Update: Chris is doing great. The headaches for the most part are gone. He was transferred down here to the rehab hospital this morning. He said this hospital will work him very hard and fast to his recovery. This facility is very thorough. Today he took a few steps then rode in a wheel chair to the cafeteria with our mom. He's very excited to move forward with his recovery. The rehab center said he has everything going for him because his age, non smoker, and physical condition. He still has a lot of work ahead of him, but his spirits and dedication will pull him through. Thanks for everyone's support. R-

deuce
Went and saw Chris today. The place he is at has got to be one of the nicest and cleanest rehab facilities I have ever walked into. We talked about how great the people of DDR have been to him and his family and how many people came to support him. It made me feel good to know that I could just pull up this website and read the "Grimace updates" and feel like I was right there. This website and everyone involved rocks. Randog
Visited Chris today. BS'n with him, you would have no idea he was ever hurt. He's progressing fast considering the extent of his injury. He walked with some help and a walker 50feet today. He looks great, sounds great and couldn't have a better attitude. There is definitely a lot of work ahead for him , but his dedication should carry him to a full recovery. Great to spend time with the Grimdart. Jiah. Keep up the great work bro. ltr450rider
Damn Ive missed alot, I got no internet up in Goleta yet. Terrible news about the accident but great news about the recovery. If he is still leaking fluid, Lucas Oil Stop Leak works wonders Seriously though, hope all goes well on the recovery and Grimdart gets back out to the dunes ASAP. :xmas2:

Have you actually sean this work before? His spine leak is in the past now mANg. Good thing on that. Thank you all for the thoughts, prayers, and support. Here's an UPDATE: He's working super hard. Even talked the hospital into Saturday therapy along with his Mon-Fri. Last night he had his foam shoes off and moved his left foot about an inch. Typing this is bringing tears to my eyes. We are sooooo stoked. He's pretty sure he moved his right foot too. He still has a long journey, but this progress is just outstanding. Thank you God! :praying: R-
