Land closures at Gold Butte

The Obama, Reid, Pelosi administration has an agenda to close as much multiple use land as possible in the next 7 months, creating Dozens of useless National monuments. Harry Reid is using his son, Rory Reid and the Clark County Commission to back door a deal with Friends of Gold Butte. The Commission is "urging" that congress create a new National monument at Gold Butte, closing 133,000 acres of land. This is our land that is being stripped from our hands without input from the land users.

Please take a few minutes and contact Shelly Berkley, Dina Titus and the Clark County Commissioners and let them know that this land grab is wrong thing to do. The Commission has had very little input from the off-road community.

How can over 100 thousand people visit the Dumont Dunes area in one season and less than 15 show up at a commission meeting involving the closing of 133 thousand acres of our land? What area will they focus on next? The Dunes, Pioche?

OK here is what the FRIENDS OF GOLD BUTTE want passed by the Clark County Commission this Tuesday May 4th;

What you need to know is that the friends of Gold Butte ARE NOT FRIENDS OF THE OFF-ROAD Community! They are the SIERRA CLUB in all it's glory. PLEASE ATTEND THE CLARK COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING on May 4th at 9:00 AM or 8:45 AM if you wish to register to speak. Even if you just say your against the bill that's ok but this is a political maneuver by Rory Reid to get the green vote in the Governors race other wise why would the County Commission be even looking at this, think about it?Gold Butte will get its third time at bat! For the third time a resolution in support of a Gold Butte NCA with Wilderness will again be on the Clark County Commission Agenda. the following is what THEY want not us. Hopefully this time we won't be. Otherwise they are going to run us out of places to ride and all your equiptment will be worthless!

Please try to attend this meeting tomorrow at the Clark County Commission chambers on grand Central Blvd. at 9:15 AM. It is way more important then you might think. If your not working or can only get there for part of the meeting that would be great as the more support we can show the more impact we can have on the county Commission.

From what I got off the news though is that the roads that are already there are going to stay open.

I was at work and couldn't make it down there for the hearing. I guess the greenie weenies don't have jobs and can devote all their time to closing off all our land from recreation.
