Priced out a new battery for my 06 Rhino. Some folks think they are gold instead of lead filled.

Ended up at Battery Plus in Vegas and got a battery that fits perfectlly. It's only 40 cranking Amps lower that the stock battery.

Paid 36.99 with a core battery against up to 140 bucks at ATV parts suppliers.

seems like a good price, but might be an issue later down the road....I like having a reputable batt, because i do not want to be stranded, because i skimped on a battery....but no battery is bullet proof...hope it lasts 5 yrs...my original 07 batt is going strong with a tender on it....

I don't purchase anything, regardless of the price, without thourghly checking out the product.

I have also found that the premium stuff can also have "issues".

My stock battery in the 06 still had a little bit of life in it but not enough for me to trust it as much and as far as I sometimes go.

Others should check, as I did, prior to buying anything. This happened to have a good warantee from a National Company and like I said compared favorably to the origional battery that lasted 5 yeats.

I'm not sure that "skimping" is the correct term for saving some bucks when possible. :broke::beercheers:

I just bought 2 odyssey batteries for my funco. I shopped around and found them as much as 200 each, but I was able to find a distributor on ebay that let em go for 153 shipped...I thought I got a better deal, only to discover it's the same case and CCA as for a rhino. With this thread, I got to wondering...

The only reason that I know of, as to needing those dry cell batteries, is that they are mounted on their side...otherwise, perhaps I spent way too much
