dunefreak
Sorry if I put this in the wrong Forum. Moderators can you please move this to its correct place Thank you. M.R. fixed That's a crappy situation you are in. Does he refuse to do the work or is he avoiding you? Sorry to say but you'll probably have to get someone else to get it running right. Dude sounds pretty shady if he doesn't want to make it right. You'd think he would. Word of mouth is everything these days when it comes to businesses....especially this type of work! ynot
If he is just a mechanic at Trinity and you talked to him or did this deal when he was working and have some paperwork or proof, I would be on the phone with trinity's owner in a heartbeat. Don't get emotions involved, just tell them what happened, what the deal was and what has happened. Also ask them if they would be willing to make their employees screw-up right. Phone calls cost nothing and may get you something out of it. Worst they can tell you is no and I am sure you have heard that before in your life. Sorry to hear you got the screw but anytime somebody does something on the side it can very easily happen. If I owned Trinity and you had some kind of documentation IE bill of sale on the chassis etc I would be pissed at the mechanic taking money out of the companies pocket. Good Luck. 1BADYFZ
I think what ynot suggested is your best bet, I bet they will get pissed that he is working on the side since trinity is pretty much by the book regarding service and may fix the problem... On a side note, they are the worst company to get motor work done with, it's an inside joke in the drag racing cummunity about their 686 kits and their false claims on HP numbers regarding all their builds. Allot of different avenues to go with if they say no, best bet is to get in running right unfortunatly with some more cash but I bet when you do you will forget about the sh*tty build from trinity.. Just his word! My dad taught me that a mans word is everything. He obviously isnt one! In regards to emotions they were getting the best of me! Thats why I decided to just let it go, and warn everyone ou there about this guy. All Im really hoping for is at least the full exhaust that he said is waiting for me in his garage. Im sure I'll even get screwed on that. I found a guy that was working for Allan Knowles from CT. He's doing the work now. Should have the raptor back home by Friday. I love how all of you responded! Makes my day go by much better knowing that my fellow dunners at least will spend some time to listen to me!!

Trinity
Hi My Name is Harry Mc Dermott I am the owner of Trinity Racing. I have owned and operated Trinity Racing for over 30 years, it has always been the policy of Trinity That our mechanics don't do side work for the obvious reasons, this being one. We have always stood behind our work and because of this situation I would like the opportunity to make this right even though we didn't do the work here. I know that this all started according to your post 2 years ago and that was about the time that Richard started working for us. I will be talking to him about this today and he may be out of a job tomorrow, but he has a family that I have to take into consideration and this is no time to be out of a job. If I may I would like to address some other comments made in this post. Regarding our dyno numbers: Our SuperFlow Dyno was calibrated by Superflow themselves, we do use special tires that bite the dyno wheel better giving us numbers that are closer to the engine HP. This allows us to see a better picture of what the engine is doing, this does not mean that our numbers are inflated. Three to four years ago I had Superflow come into our shop and re-calibrate our dyno to read lower so we would never have to hear about having high numbers again, Even though we where doing nothing wrong. We used to have Dave an excellent rep for Superflow in our shop all of the time dynoing and making sure our guys were up to speed on the latest and greatest in the dyno world. Dave Unfortunately passed away a year ago and we miss him he was a great guy. Regarding our to our warrantees: Our warrantees are some of the best in the business but it is impossible to make everyone happy, it comes down to the individual situation. I have had people expecting us to warrantee there engine when THEY installed the pistons in the engine backwards. All I am going to say here is we do our best to make sure the customer is treated fairly, I am very involved in every aspect of this business and if there is someone with a problem they need to come to me and I will make it right, bottom line. Pretty solid right there. http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=228274&st=

Support your local shop, you can always walk in and express your complaint rather than hoping the garage mechanic answers your call.

Pretty solid right there. http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=228274&st=0 I agree That is great that Harry is doing this, But Trinity nor Harry had anything to do with this. Btw I got a call from Richard. Thanks to Harry it seems like Richard is going to try and make things right. Too bad I'm already getting the problem fixed at another shop. Either way Trinity never did me wrong, and Harry went beyond what anyone else would have done. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. Hopefully everything ends up with me being able to go dunning
80grit
Harry has always been a stand up guy since I met him 6 years ago. Our group bought many Cheetah motors from him and he has always stood behind what he sold. So him coming out here to offer this up just furthers my respect for him as a businessman.
