When you buy the chain, it is to long and you have to cut them. They allow for gearing changes, so loosen your tentioner, adjust it to about the middle of its travel and figure out how many lengths you need removed. This should allow for gearing changes both up and down.

thanks steve, but im workin.....just trying to figure out why the chain is so long....

Seems like someone mite have change the front sprocket to a 13 tooth. If its a newer 70 I would come with a 14 or so. Just droping down 1 tooth would make the chain droop...... My $0.02

from what i can see it is a 13 sprocket....I will look closer in a while....when the tentioner is up all the way there is about 3" of play.....from what i know the chain rides on top of the tentioner????
