sandqueen
DO NOT PURCHASE AN RV FROM FAMILY RV!!! We purchased a Eclipse Stellar Toyhauler from Family RV in Irvine,CA in November 2011. The two salesmen we dealt with were really good, but from there it went down the drain. Dealing with Rich in Finance & Jerry in the Service Dept was the worst experience ever. Blamed all the problems we had on our truck & our 5th wheel hitch (which we purchased elsewhere alot cheaper) not on the trailer itself. As it turned out all the problems were caused by a faulty pinbox on the trailer, in which the manufacturer fixed immediately upon us contacting them. Family RV didn't even care that we had spent over $600.00 on fuel, missed a lot of work, etc just to get all of this taken care of. They could have had all of this taken care of the same day if they would have put a little extra effort into it. As for finance he "forgot about our deal" for the two days he was off, so it took us over a week to get financed. In their eyes got the sale so end of story...THEY JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THIER CUSTOMERS!!!! We will never buy a toyhauler from them, take our toyhauler to them for service OR recommend them to anyone. Now-a-days with the ecomony the way it is trailers, toyhaulers & motorhomes are a luxury item & not too many people are in the market for luxury items. They should be bending over backwards to please their customers to keep themselves in business. Eclipse RV (the manufacturer) ROCKS!! Family RV SUCKS!!! dunefreak
It's crazy how sh*tty companies can treat their customers. They must not care to stay in business. You need to bend over backwards these days to keep people coming back, expecially when it comes to luxury items like this. They won't be around for long. Especially knowing that there are websites like this that people can spread the word about crappy customer service & products. The duning community is way too small to let anything slide by unnoticed.
