Nick700r
Hello all! A group of us Minnesnowden's are trying to escape the cold, even though we don't have much snow right now we still have over a foot of ice. Time to thaw out for a while. We have about 6-8 guys going, 2 quads, the rest bikes. Below is an itinerary. Any one and everyone is welcome to swing by and say Hi and go for a ride! I see there are a lot of buggy people on here! I would do just about anything for a ride in a buggy! even let you ride my baby! lol. I have been to all of the locations and can't wait to get back! I love the steep dunes of Dumont! and the size of glamis! and the !(#@)*)! of vegas! ahhha ahahahaha only 2 of my friends that are going have been to the dunes and the rest are sand virgins and one is even a bike virgin! This will be an interesting trip! I have been trying to contact a place called AlbertsRvrentals for the Glamis portion, but haven't had any luck, If anyone knows of a good camper/ RV rental service please let me know. Jan 27th Friday, by 9 pm leave MN 28th Sat about midnight we would be in Vegas give or take, party for a bit then head out for the dunes by early AM or if we get the urge to keep going and set up camp in the dark 29th Sunday AM we will be in DUMONT! 30th Mon Dumont 31st Tues in the morning leave for Glamis 1st Wend Glamis 2nd Thur Glamis 3rd Fri Glamis 4th Sat Glamis go to Vegas leave Vegas in the AM to MN 9AM 5th Sun Sun evening be home sometime 6th Mon recoop! That gives us 2 days/nights in Dumont, 2 nights in VIVAlasVEGAs! and 2 1/2 days/3nights in glamis.

That gives us 2 days/nights in Dumont, 2 nights in VIVAlasVEGAs! and 2 1/2 days/3nights in glamis. There are several RV rental services here in Las Vegas. They will not drive them out to Dumont but you could pick it up on your way but have to figure out how to get it back to Vegas if you are continuing on to Glamis. Might be a better idea to go to Glamis and then have someone come to Vegas and pick up the motorhome and back track 100 miles to Dumont? You can google RV rentals in LV for names and numbers. Hope that helps. If you let the board know what the days your going to be at Dumont you may be able to meet up with someone who is going to be there and get a guided tour of Dumont. it's always a good idea as Dumont can chew you up and spit you out if your not used to riding razorback type dunes. Better safe than sorry for the long drive home. Terry Edited January 11, 2012 by ynot
Nick700r
http://www.luv2camp.com/ Glamis but not Dumont Thanks! great info! We only want it for Glamis so that would work. I think we will stick with one that drops off and picks up so we don't have to hassle with it.

Chadwick
No I haven't really sold anything on either forum. It's a good website when I'm looking into maintenance issues and such. I kinda over do the maintenance on my bike but I enjoy doing it.
19th_AT
Man... that is a lot of traveling in a short amount of time. I dont mean to be a downer but keep in mind how tiring playing in the sand can be. Dumont has everything Glamis has and right now its sand season. Why not just spend your week in Dumont and do a glamis trip later on when your not trying to factor in las vegas?? Just seems that a week stay in dumont would be cheaper and you could "VEGAS" more. Nick700r
Also I forgot to update my itinerary but we added another day to ease the travel time. It'll still be exhausting but well worth it.

Lasvegas Atvtours
I have rented that toy hauler before from the guy on CL. His name is Paul and he is a really nice guy. He has two of them and they are in great shape. I agree, try to do Glamis 1st. It will make the trip home feel much shorter. I may be going out that weekend and can meet up with you guys and show you around a little. Either way, have fun and be safe.
